Yes some players have not been performing of late, but there are a whole host of other mitigating factors, not least that the team just had their manager walk out on them which was bound to effect morale, but we also injury issues the fact that much of the team were running on empty.

Despite this though, the steered the team through something like 15 games? and we suffered defeat only once, and I'm sure some had the book thrown squarely at them for their performance in that match.

Well that's another issue, but as Iv'e said before I don't believe Neil would take the job on if he wasn't certain that he would get the backing he needs.

I’d agree with you that some comments were a bit over the top, but on the same day we secured the treble, I assume many folk (maybe most) commenting were pished. We know how exaggerated emotions are when people drink. Even with that, it does show how unpopular a decision it was.

He has respect, but he was always fighting a losing battle in terms of supporter reaction to his announcement. He’s not the big name folk hoped for, after Rodgers, he’s just lost at Ibrox, and we’ve struggled in games since he’s taken over. That all goes against him and most folk don’t care (or won’t acknowledge) that it’s not his team, that we’ve not been great all season, or that we’ve played loads of games with many injuries too.

 

Yes, so people are in a wee huff because they didn’t get what they want and being disrespectful towards, and I need to keep stressing this in a time where we’ve recently lost two of them, a * Celtic Legend.
