Didn’t find the second one snide at all, just making light of the fact that the majority of our support were disappointed with his appointment.

 

His name was Neil Lemon on PES years ago. Those * Japanse huns at Konami up to no good.

I don't use the terms but I don't get offended or upset about them. I don't know Lennon so comments like that mean nothing to me, tbh.

It's just been simmering and I was agreeing with Dev about the way people speak about Lenny. He gave no less that Jock, Paul McStay, Henrik yet would never be afforded the same respect.

My point is that it's * embarrassing the lengths people go to to get offended or annoyed about this sort of stuff. Those pictures a couple of pages ago were harmless, funny pics. * all snidey or offensive about them.

Yet we've now jumped a couple of pages on this thread because of them. It's ridiculous.

I have moved my Dinner time forward to 1.30PM since that game so my 1.10PM * doesnt end up all over it

 

I hate Celtic fans thinking our manager and a Celtic legend is an acceptable figure of ridicule.

He’s had to deal with years and years of the press being snide with him, with death threats, with bombs, with bullets, with the snide underlay of Anti-Irish racism in this country, he’s had everything thrown against him in the name of Celtic. I don’t think anyone else in our history has went through what he has for us.

The very, very bare minimum that he deserves from us as a fanbase is respect.

Regardless of how you view his ability as a manager.

I haven't called it offensive. I do not see why poster feel the need to take cheap shots at him by using hun terms. Have a go at his ability to manage Celtic Have a go at his commitment to the cause(a tough one) but leave out the cheap shots to a player/manager who has given as much as he can for the cause. He has given as much as any player or manager past or present.

 

1 is straight out hun chat other borderline ,wot i find * o o o is the way its starting to infest this place and become mildly acceptable ,btw the lennitez was amusing as a poke at the ones who wanted rafa , ask yourselves this would this have been allowed with billy mc,neil , * rest him,absolutely not so why are we allowing one of our own to be made look unprofessional and some nasty * not being called out by most .

 

Innocuous jokes ≠ disrespect. The second picture was more poking fun at the reaction of dispair, from the wider support.

There was never a furore over people occasionally making tranny/Brenda jokes about Rodgers, before he left, as it's fair to say that a lot of the support thought he was well on his way to becoming a Celtic legend.

Owning the slurs used against you has always been used as a way to disarm the hatred, although the pictures posted weren't even slurs. It's still the same principle.

 

I'm probably a hypocrite, I crack jokes about all sorts but find myself agreeing with @\o/ here.

The guy has been open about his battles with mental health and depression, among all the other * we all know he's went through. The next 2 years he's going to come under all sorts of pressure from the media, huns, officials etc.

Personally I'd rather not add to that with memes about being in denial he's been given the job. If others want to then crack on.

 

It’s not just them in isolation, like I said since the announcement (when we secured a Treble of * Trebles) the hysteria surrounding him getting a job and the disrespect that’s been shown to him off of Celtic fans just * angers me.

I don’t think it’s particularly controversial to say I think a Celtic Legend who’s been through so much for us deserves respect from Celtic supporters.
