To be fair to the rose tinted delusional sort, Lenny did after all pick up a mentally broken and physically exhausted squad.... just after they’d won 10 domestic games on the bounce..... erm....

Doesn’t * wash. This appointment stinks and is an indictment on the owners who have no plan or no * clue what to do with the club.

Aye he did. But football has moved on from what he believes him. The board taking the fans for a * ride as per usual. We pumped far too much money into the club to be dealing with this pish again. Im eternally grateful for Lennon to pick up the slack from the snake when he left but to go from the snake to Lennon on a permeant deal is * laughable.

I didnt want Lennon either. But * me, what an overreaction. Literally any manager we could get would be a huge risk. Any one of them. The squad needs a rebuild and that is a risk for anyone. Recruitment can go wrong for any manager, especially with the market we play in, the are diamonds and there are duds. The huns have had a year under Gerrard and whether people want to believe it or not, they've improved and will probably get better(the panic thats sets in tells me that others believe that whether they admit it or not). Next season will be hard for anyone. It makes complete * sense to let someone who knows the club and has done it before go for 9 and then hopefully 10.

Cheap option or not, it makes sense. Let him build his team. If he falters then fair enough. Moan like *. If he isnt backed financially, aye, moan like *. As it is? We just won a treble treble. Cheer the * up

As long as Hendry and Compper lead the back next year, we'll be ok.

There are three things that scares me. First, from news and rumours his priority appears to be finding a striker. We have a 9 million pound guy, one of the top scores of Celtic history about to come back, and a young and untested guy who would be wonderful in his pumping the ball into the box strategy. Meanwhile we have a pensioner Lustig dragging himself on, Tierney had to exhaust himself for the lack of a backup, if one of Jozo and Ajer gets injured or suspended one of the worst CB's of Celtic modern history steps in. This is not by any means a problem to him. We need a striker, and to renew Lustig and Izaguirre contracts.

Second, Benkovic will not come back. He pretty much boycotted the guy. He wont come back to stay in the bench. I was hoping for that but this is no longer going to happen.

Third, our squad already has it problems and he doesn not use a fraction of its potential. His substitutions are beyond retarded. Bitton for Hayes? Change a CB for another when we need a goal? You can get away with this when you play the crappy opposition we have in the league, but any decent, national champion we will play against will be very keen on exploiting this. AEK wasn't a fantastic team and simply taught us a lesson.

There is no reason to have faith in his recruiting and tactics from now on unless he becomes a completely different person

As has been said many times on here. The only reason a manager of Rodgers stature was here is because his affiliation for the club. I think it was unrealistic to expect a Benitez

Lennon has just delivered us the Treble , treble think about that. Lawwell is hardly going to say thanks for your services goodbye , not even sure we'd have done it under Rodgers tbh.

Based on all evidence I can’t see this as anything other than a disastrous move for Celtic. The lack of ambition is unbelievable.

"We all found out on Twitter and all the lads are diving about in the changing room. We went out, got the gaffer and brought him back in. The cheer for the manager to get the job - it was phenomenal. He deserves it. It has been a hard one since he came in but he's the only man in my eyes for the job.

"He has had to win two trophies and yet again he has shown that he knows how to win trophies. He's a fantastic man manager and he's been fantastic since he came in. He speaks well and every single one in that changing room loves him."

Has the players backing...yet...the players have been playing poorly since he's been in charge? Hmm.

So according to Lawwell one of the reasons Lennon was offered the job was because he "Knows Glasgow" ffs.

Problem being Lennon sticks with his pals...Lustig, Izzy and one or two others who have been bereft of ideas, yet still getting picked.

So that’s why we had Bitton come on for Hayes

We were playing a short midfielder at LB today and a journeyman slow * RB because the backup RB on loan can't be trusted. We have a 16 year old on the bench that many said was one of the few creative players on our bench today. This is not Lennon's fault and by no means is his ideal team.
