I’m personally not into the idea of Benitez but incredibly with a job like Celtic manager we have to talk about “best of a bad bunch” in terms of who’s supposedly in the frame.

If Benitez indeed is first choice, can we seriously compete with anything like Newcastle pay him or are we to believe he would come here with a significant pay drop...for someone with no connection or feeling towards Celtic that’s a hard one to believe is a realistic possibility in the current era

Come here to win trophies, European football and not have to deal with Mike Ashley. Easy choice really for him.

There's also the possibilty that Benitez will fancy a crack at the *ahem* Old Firm atmosphere, plus I don't think he and Gerrard particularly like each other, so it'll be a good chance for him to embarrass the scouse fucknugget...

Did Gerrard not say when he left Liverpool the best manager he ever had was Houllier?
Bet that upset Benítez. It would me. Guy won that club the only decent trophy they have ever won since 1991.

I do not think Moyes will get the job. He wants a job in England and will think being linked with us will get him that job in England that he so desperately wants. He has never shown any desire to be here and only makes an appearance when there is a "job".

If it is not Rafa it will go to Lennon. Though I am unsure why he would be leaving for holiday on Monday unless he has been told one way or another about who has the job...
