I'm not against that whatsoever. Broony player manager please.

What I dont like about him is he tells the wide players to go to wide all the time, he is always shouting and pointing for the wingers to stay very wide.

Forrest, Johnston, Sinclair are suited to getting into the box and playing around the box. We wasted Johnston a lot at the weekend as Lennon kept telling him to stay wide but everytime he got the ball he then had to beat 2 men and run 20 yards to get near the box when he'd have been better making runs inside like how the goals he got came.

This is what depresses me. When I see the likes of Ajax or even RB Salzburg (whose financial power is smaller than us regardless of the Red Bull tag) going above and beyond what many think they are capable of, it depresses me.

Celtic is a massive club, just not in a massive league. And as such we should be taking the opportunity to be a forward thinking, state of the art run club. Instead, it’s rooted in typical backwards Scottish football mentality. If Lennon - or * forbid in the future Broony as player manager - is the answer, then this is a club with serious structural problems at its root.

I don’t even know what the youth policy is. Certainly not taken heed of if the young lads will see their career suffer while they try to latch onto aimless high balls pumped long instead of utilising technique and ball possession to help them prosper (like any forward thinking club does now). Might as well have Fat Sam Allardyce in charge.

Weather and state of stadia in the SPFL might force this footballing style anyway. There's a reason why possession football is not played in cold, windy places.

If Neil Lennon gets the job its time for you to accept that the people running Celtic who know a lot more about football than you do, can see he is very good manager.

Would be a bit of a kick in the baws to Lennon if we hired Moyes IMO.

Do they? Ronny? Mowbray? Or is it a room full of paper pushers trying to save the most money for the bank balance?

Both of them were gambles that never payed off, but we know exactly what we're getting in regards to Lennon.

Keeping a healthy Bank balance is essential in keeping the club alive, it's the boards job to run the club as a business. But I'm sure they're well aware the getting into the CL is where the real money is, not saving a couple of grand a week on what some people perceive as a poor manager.

That's precisely why so many don't want him.

Lennon is absolutely a gamble as well! He has one single playstyle and lacks the players to impliment it.

We haven’t really taken a direct, long ball style approach to the game since Strachan, and based on previous evidence we wouldn’t with Lennon either. This is a guy who’s success was built on the likes on Hooper, Stokes, Commons, Forrest etc in the forward areas, who are probably around the 5’6 or 5’7 mark on average. Samaras was there too but was hardly utilised as a target man.

It hasn't been long ball since Lennon came in, but it has been a relentless "run down the wing and cross it into the box" over and over and over style. Our best attacking players are Edouard, Forrest, McGregor, Rogic, Sinclair. It doesn't play to single one of their combined main strengths.

Aye because launching the ball 30 feet in the air during a gale is the way to go.

You've been peddling this pish for years. You won't be happy until we have no full backs, no wingers, four 8' CBs and two 6' 7" target men up front.

I suppose we could save money by having cardboard cutout midfielders seeing as you would just bypass them anyway.

    Edit.

We have won 8 titles in a row playing possession football in this cold windy place you speak of.

This * always amuses me, people who think Lennon plays long ball football definitely weren’t fans of us first time round.

It's more for feeding of clearances around the box .
