Seen that thing about Dembele a few times.

Aitchison was born in 2000, as was Henderson.

due to the fact that our calender goes straight from 1BC to 1AD there is no year 0, so due to this the year 2000 is actually the final year of the 20th century.
2001 is the real first year of the 21st century.

That gives us pause for thought, there is a lot of doubt at the moment and rightly so for various reasons but I think the idea of us definitely losing the league next year if we don't get Rafa or another Rodgers level manager is way off the mark.

The amount of clean sheets, the amount of different goal scorers. The amount of late goals. The potential in our youth. Without doubt we still have the best squad in the league even if it's not strong enough for Europe which I am sure will be on the mind of the board.

As long as we don't make a terrible appointment there is plenty to be optimistic about.

Pressure is a funny thing, if we were just playing a Cup Final tomorrow it would be a bit nerve wracking but we'd feel confident, when we're talking about winning the Treble Treble tomorrow I must admit against all reason I do start to * it a bit. I hope that's not how the players are thinking about it.

We have been winning all the most important games over the last few years.

If we do win it then I know who I'd be content with as our next manager... Although there is already a 300 page thread about it which I'm convinced is going to turn into a black hole tomorrow evening :56:

Though they're leaving (or have already left) Weah and Burke clearly did make an important contribution in the second half of the season.

If we had them from the start of the season, or players like them, we could have been out of sight much sooner and perhaps even qualified for the CL.

That shows how important it is to invest in the squad and to freshen things up regularly.

Also shows how important it is to have options in the forward areas - goals need to be coming from various sources - we've been outscored by the Hun this season. That is not acceptable.

Although they done alright hopefully Shved will be better than them and we'll have Griffiths also. So they shouldn't really be missed.

It's not that we're significantly poorer without them or but tight games it's the little margins.

I think you need a spread of dangerous players over a number of offensive positions to be a dominant side.

Our Invincible team was a good example of this. There were goals and assists flying in from everywhere.

I agree because we are a selling club but you know I won't miss Burke even though he's like Superman with only the power of flight, if he could get his first touch together he'd be devastating.

I loved wee Tim cause he obviously loves playing football and that's what we want to see plus he was a game changer up in Perth when we got bored of playing them every week he brought a bit of electricity to play.

I wasn't as upset when he left as I was Roberts though. I think cause I heard the rumour he lost his desire in training and we need full on commitment. Mostly though I believe we have to focus on our youth and be brave. We should only borrow or buy young players who are definitely full of potential we don't already have. Fine balance, we don't want to get carried away with the bright lights of the big clubs seeing us as a stable.

I'm still sitting with baited breath waiting to see Bayo finish a move in anger cause it would just be nuts if his YouTube video was a collection of flukes, I refuse to believe he doesn't have amazing instinct but * it seems ages ago that video was posted.

As much as Sinclair gets criticised if you're taking a winger who can score 17 goals in a season out of the team you'd better be sure you're replacing him with someone who can do likewise. I would like to see the likes of Shved step up and perhaps take his place but im also happy Scotty is going to be around for another season, he can still make an important contribution.

Have to consider the stats when judging his overall contribution. He might not have been playing his most scintillating best but scoring so many goals off form has to be considered good for us.

Definitely have to keep him and see if we can get him firing again, would be a lot less risky than trying to replace him.

    This.

It would cost a alot of money to try to replace those numbers.

Lets see what he brings next season

Sinclair has been crucified by the media this season despite scoring 17 goals. Ryan Kent on the other hand has been revered as a revelation despite only scoring 6 from the same position. The guy’s a talent, let’s appreciate him for what he is rather than get too bogged down with ‘bad’ performances
