    The guy is a winger I dont know how people can take his goalscoring ratio into account, if Nakamura got 7 in 17 games quoted earlier in the topic then we would be talking bout a great season from him.

    If he is a flop its OK! you know why cos we didnt pay for him Rangers did :icon_mrgreen: Rangers gave us 200k for Miller and they've just bought us a Winger with potential...if he comes good think of the banter we can get from that....

    And how is he a late bloomer at 24? hes still pretty young and Robbo and Hartley our two best central midfielders probably bloomed bout 28 so dont write the bhoy off

    Give the Bhoy a chance he might not be a world beater but hes a Northern Ireland International who is willing to put his career at a bit of a risk for the sake of wanting to play for Celtic so give the bhoy a chance! :celt_2:

    Let's just hope the guy sorts himself out and makes a name for himself at Parkhead, that's what every Celtic fan wants!

    he did a live interview with out website two weeks ago and he said he realised now that he did alot wrong at rochadale and if the chance arises he would grab it with both hands and give 110%

    2 plonkers. I bet you probably havnt been to the Brandywell this season. I am a season ticket holder, and having seen Paddy in all his time in the league I can easily say he has been the best. I cant believe the dis-respect shown by Celtic fans towards both the players ability and the League of Ireland.

    It may not be the biggest or best in the world, but it dosnt mean we dont have any quality players. All this about his attitude and drink, its all nonsense. He has a child and another on the way, he is settled down. All I would like is Celtic fans to give him a chance because the right training and playing with quality will show him to be a good signing

    As i celtic and Derry city fan this is a good move for me, Mc court is easly the most talented player to come out of the eircom league in many years, I think given his chance on the big stage he'll deffo make it!! Very clever signing by celtic if it all goes through!!

    :bbpd: You again, if nothing else your persistant. Now I know how you got your post count.

    I'll try and keep this simple for you. celtic should not be dealing at this end of the market. For 17 and 18 year olds with potential, yes. But a 24 year old, no.

    Maybe, just maybe celtic got the heads up on this guy and he's something special. That remains to be seen.

    He hear alot of whats good with Paddy and where supposedly is lacking. Where he is lacking is something that can be changed, i.e. Diet and Training.

    The only real negative that against his is that he's coming from the Eircom League and that he might not be of the standard required. How many players has GS signed with several people moaning that they arent of the required standard? "He's not Celtic Class", He's not Celtic Minded".

    All bullshit reasons and GS has gotten the best out of all of them. McDonald, Caldwell, Nakamura, Boruc, McGeady (still being slated as not good enough!!), Hartley, Robson etc.

    I'm quitely optimistic about this guy if he signs but Paddy has his future in his own hands, he needs to take the bull by the horns, listen to the coaches, put in the extra hours of fitness like several of the bhoys are, change the diet and he'll see improvement in his allround game based off his improvement in fitness. e.g. McGeady improved his fitness so he could track back regularly.

    Why are all his detractors trying to make this personal?

    I'm saying don't judge a player by his club, his transfer fee and all i'm getting back is * from yourself trying to be a smart * in the first instance and then making yourself look foolish.

    Celtic will deal where Celtic wants to deal, if thats 250k for a winger in Ireland then that's where it is, get over it.
