That’s great. Doesn’t change the fact that he isn’t good enough and we’d be making a mistake if we give him the job.

You just ignored every point he made there and decided to sugar coat Lennon’s time here instead.

Only lost 1 game since Feb? Aye the 27th was his first game. He’s dropped 9 points in 10 league games. We’ve scored 11 goals in said league games. We needed two injury time goals to squeeze past 10 man Hearts and the worst team in the league.

The cup games are the only ones where I can’t criticise him. We looked sharper and up for the occasion. However it means * all if we don’t win the final.

He didn’t answer our time of need. For the 2nd time in his career the Celtic job has fallen onto his lap without him having to earn it. He might have made the most sense, but we are doing him just as big a favour as he’s doing for us because he wouldn’t get near a job as big as this anywhere else.

The inheriting a team that needs work comment is an easy cop out too. We might be needing a few pieces next season but at the moment that team shouldn’t be struggling the way it is.

    None of that matters.

It’s Neil Lennon. He deserves the job.

Whatever happens, NL will always be remembered as the Man that guided us to a treble, treble.

    With another mans team.

Give him a few bob spending money, and give him the reigns proper and I think he would take us to the ten.

This "other mans team" stuff is getting a bit ridiculous. It's the best squad in the country. Regardless of who is in charge, it's good enough to beat any other team.

That others man team had already secured one trophy and all but guaranteed another.

Why not just go with no manager then?

Whatever happens? What if Hearts beat us? He’s not done it yet.

For me, the majority of the praise will go to the players if we get over the line. They are the ones having to deal with this shambles of a situation.

That team could easily have buckled when their manager left, But he steadied the ship, he won all the crucial games and seen it over the line.

Nah, I'm not saying we could have done it without a manager. But it comes across as people using the "other mans team" as another way of giving him cheap credit.

That excuse makes sense in some cases, a prime example being Hasenhuttl at Southampton. He took over a team in the relegation zone, who played dull, defensive football. He's taken that group and completely changed their style of play to get them out of danger. All with the same players who were used to a completely different type of football.

Lenny took over a team 8 points clear, who were in a great run of form. Yes it's not his players but that should be no issue whatsoever. He just had to keep things as they were. Didn't have to change anything - albeit has has.

    That's overly simplistic.

We paid the rat and his coaches handsomely for their input on the training ground, asking another manager to 'keep things as they were' is unlikely to yield the same results as the actual individuals implementing their own ideas themselves.

I just find it interesting the mental gymnastics that some are doing over Lennon, any of the wins or good performances since he came in are all down to Rodgers and the players but Sunday's performance and defeat is all down to him. Bizarre logic.

Undefeated until last sunday, first defeat wasn't until after the Title was won, and them * had a bit of help from the men in Black. If we're going to go for the ten were going to have to bt the Huns 3 times per season, Lenny knows them inside out, he,s the best man for the job IMO.

He also has a few months ground work and time to gauge the situation decide what changes need to be made, something any new boy wont have the benefit of.

I stand by my statement, we’ve looked anything but steady and I’ll ask you to go back and watch our performances. He got us over the line in the league but we crawled across it.

He doesn’t know them inside out and they didn’t get help from the refs. They completely done us.

As do I. Some people are continually moving goalposts and making up any old * to convince themselves that Lenny is the man for the job.

We’ve barely had a good performance since he came in, so there’s not a lot to twist there.
