Consistant failure since Everton. I'm not arguing for the sake of it: the thought of Moyes terrifies me. I would get down on my kbees and beg Steve Clarke to take the job if the alternative was Moyes.

I'd have Allardyce up here in the hotseat right now.

Always did think he was a good manager, even if he seems awfully "hunnish".

Same, mate. He'd be just what we need to punch above our weight in Europe too.

Really? The last time David Moyes didn't utterly fail, Neil Lennon had us in the CL last 16. Think about that for a moment and ask yourself if your approach to the two men is consistent.

Reading through the various posts on here it is obvious that the vast majority do not favour Lenny as the next manager. With that in mind can the poll which opens on with this topic be scrapped, or updated as it shows him still the strong favourite ?

The desperation to defend Lennon over all the other candidates was hard enough to deal with. Throwing Kennedy in there is a whole new level of desperation.

I’d give Lennon a contract for life before I even consider interviewing Kennedy for the job.

The last and only time he has won anything as manager, Kenny Dalglish was the caretaker manager of Celtic. He is failure personified.

I'm looking at nothing but that, mate. He can be excused for Man Utd, but after that?

I genuinely feel Moyes would be a massive risk of blowing 9iar never mind 10.

Terrifies me, mate. At the start of this thread, I almost joked 'anyone but Moyes'. At that time, though, I didn't think there was the slightest chance of it.

Now I'm not so sure and I feel very unhappy about that.

I've thought about it. And I've came to the conclusion you're talking *.

Moyes' first season at Real Sociedad - he took over when they were second bottom and finished 12th with them. They beat Barca in this run. His second season they regressed and he was sacked.

He took over at West Ham when they were in the relegation zone and took them to 13th in the league. Taking points off of Chelsea (twice), Spurs, Man Utd and Arsenal.

Like I said, he's had his ups and downs since leaving Everton. A couple of clubs have been a mess and remain a mess 5/6 years later. But he's nowhere near as bad a manager or as out of touch as you're making him out to be.

    Benitez please.

Would take us to another level. Would cement the 10 and put those * back in their box at Ibrox.

What is with this obsession with "if you don't win trophies as a manager you're a failure" pish?

I used him as an example the other day so I will again. Mauricio Pochettino has won nothing as a manager in 10 years. He's still considered to be one of the best managers in Europe at the moment.
