I honestly think he would stay if he was in that position.

He's a Celtic fan after all.

He'd never end up getting there, as his translator would be looking for signs that said Mulguy

Well thats already been exposed as B/S all along.

Most football fans in Ireland have a soft spot for the hoops even the premiership fanboys.

So because Brendan Rodgers is a lying Snake you don’t think Lenny’s a Celtic fan?

It's not bizarre that people want stability. However, it is bizarre having the mindset of "aye but if we get another manager who does really well they might leave". What a strange way to think of things.

Give me a better manager who might leave after two seasons, over a lesser manager who will stay for 5 years.

Don’t really see why people want Bielsa.

He’s won nothing in Europe and his team just bottled automatic promotion a few weeks back.

Also, despite his all out attacking philosophy 4 teams in the Championship top 6 scored more goals than his.

I want somebody who is 100% committed to the club. People who are suggesting just give the £9m compo to them, the only reason they have to be here is the money. I don’t want somebody who is only here for the money.

For one, we’re not rich on the big stage and two, it’s not stable for me.

Don't really care if a manager uses us as a stepping stone. If they are the best candidate and do a great job, then decide to leave after a couple of seasons. Then so be it.

The club has to be prepared, ambitious and smart enough to be able to replace managers. That's why we need a DoF.

It's the potential of someone leaving mid season (again) that worries me, that's something that could seriously jeopardize the 9 or 10.

The argument of not wanting to go for a top manager or the best manager we can because they might leave us mid season (because Rodgers has even though thats the only time in our history it's happened & now its suddenly gonna happen everytime) is * embarrassing tbh youse are clutching at straws, just because Rodgers has left mid season dont mean every manager is * me to even think so is a shocker :56:

I want the best man for the job, someone who is good enough to help us attract players to reach our potential in Europe while also carrying on our success domestically and playing a brand of football which we can enjoy, Neil Lennon is a top bloke and he a decent manager but if all we are aiming for is decent because we are * scared that other clubs might come poach our manager away then boo * hoo, i dont want our celling to be defined by fear that someone is going to come and take our coach and players away.

Also it's two * years till 10 in a row, I very much doubt even the best of managers we can get is going to leave us 6 months into a job for * sake give your heads a shake

So you reckon a manager that we would get this summer is gonna leave 6 months into job?

The implication of my response to Angus was not that I'm doubting Lennon's affiliation to Celtic.

What I meant was, I believe Lennon, like Rodgers, would put his career above that affinity. For instance, if a top-ten EPL club came in for Lennon in similar circumstances, I'm not as confident as others that he wouldn't walk away mid-season.

Can't just make every decision based purely on achieving the 10. We need to think bigger than that.

Get the best possible manager we can attract. Can't live in fear of a manager leaving forever.

Tony Mowbray has done a sterling job with Blackburn, good Celtic man and laid the foundations for Lenny first time around... Another shot for Mogga anyone?
