It's gone on too long now that it just can't be Lennon.

If its him just * announce it. Lennon must know his fate.

Part of me thinks the offer comes as he knows a budget and he has other ideas as about what needs improving first and deal with left back in January depending on how KT is or possibly the summer. He also may be preparing for KT going so knowing Izzy is happy being 2nd choice he will be able to bring another in.

If so, I think that's a real worry. Our first pre-season game is just over 4 weeks after the cup final and the first champions league qualifier four after that.

Frankly, and without being disrespectful, I don't want Lenny as full-time manger again - IMO it's simply a step backwards.

If it is going to be Lenny, although a bad decision IMO, I don't see what purpose is in delaying an announcement. Indecision prior to the Huns game and the Cup final won't help plus there is a lot of work to do with the squad in a short space of time.

I simply cannot believe that DD will wait until after the Cup final to decide. If we don't hear anything before the final, I am assuming that it isn't Lenny. If so, I can only hope that DD/PL have someone lined up and have already discussed a transfer budget and targets etc. Otherwise - we will have wasted a lot of time.

If the club (as I hope) do not offer it to Lenny - I don't expect them to make an announcement prior to the cup final.

However, Lenny deserves total respect, he should be informed as soon as anything is agreed. He will always give 100% for the club - it would not make his approach to the cup final anything other than totally professional.

I don't pay much heed to what managers tell journalists. If unsure better to lie to the gutter press than to hurt the feelings of even a lesser player

Definitely wouldn’t pay attention to what managers tell the press but it was Izaguirre who told the journalists.

Again that will make him more valuable if its thought Celtic want to keep him. Why would the club deny it if they have nothing to gain from doing so and harm the potential wage earnings of a loyal servant?

If he had in fact been offered a contract extension then that would suggest PL did it or Lenny must have already been given the job for next season but we haven't announced it yet.

The most logical explanation in my eyes is the first especially when a blind man could see he's not good enough even as a back up in the SPL. A sort of a golden hand shake from a tight assed CEO

If I'm wrong and Lenny did in fact offer Izzy another contract then why post in this thread? Those who believe it's true should stick to the "Neil Lennon" thread

Is it the old let's * about saying this and that one and then late on just give it to Lenny.

That'll mean they can get out of spending big and we'll run around scrambling for loans.

I'm sure the board would rather risk 10 than spend a decent amount of money, also factoring in the near impossible qualification for CL now.

If it was to be given to Lennon there is no reason to delay it, all this talk about waiting until the cup final is stupid. Why risk a Treble Treble by having a squad and a interim manager unaware if they will be here next season, players wondering do they even bother trying to get into this guys good books etc...

I think, they've already got their man and waiting for after the cup final to announce it, that man isn't Lennon.
