I think it's a given that we are trying to, mate. Whatever I think about it, I can't imagine Lawwell telling Rose to * off because Lenny is Celtic through and through. Is Lenny as good as Rodgers? No. But he's a lot better than he is given credit for. We definitely shouldn't be overlooking him for someone (I'm thinking of Clarke and the like) who may or may not be better or someone (* forbid it's Moyes or Coyle) that definitely aren't any better.

And had them in 8th in his third and getting worse but we’re not allowed to mention that...

Hibs had a far better team than Killie and also had a far bigger budget. Killie should be battling it out with Hamilton and Livingston in the bottom half.

2019 and Killie have a better manager than Celtic.

    Jesus *.

You can mention it; but look at how it ended. Something obviously happened there and given the way that board hung him out to dry at the end, it seems they did not give him the backing he needed with certain players.

He was capable of it, one season out of 4. We have an opportunity to take the club forward and we need to take it. We can do better than Neil Lennon.

He is levels below but he has also managed to get further ahead in Europe and has a far better track record at bringing in players while not having the same budget available than the snake did and the Snake struggled against him any time he came up against him.

He is a level below but he also has some things a lot better than him.

I don’t want us to get to halfway through the 10 season and being in the position we are just now, with a midtable Premieeship club having poached our manager and us being frantic and under pressure to get the job done.

Because we’d be hard pushed to have another Lenny in that situation and it’s one that could very easily happen.

So he was capable of it.

I can’t see many options that is a better option for us, at this time.

While fully accepting that he's not as good as Rodgers, it is surprising how much people underrate Lenny. Whether it's at Celtic or elsewhere, I think a few people will get a surprise.

Genuinely one of the most baffling points I’ve heard as a positive to having Lennon as manager.

Don’t hire a good manager incase another team wants him. Why sign a good player if that’s the thinking? Why try win stuff and become the best team we possibly can if it’ll end up with players sold and coaches leaving?

I know you want Lennon no matter what but this is honestly ridiculous.

Strange that Heckingbottom hasn’t needed that backing with those certain players thougH.

How do you know what will happen? He's been there 5 minutes and inherited a basically sound team... from Neil Lennon.

Tbh the main reason I wouldn't want Lennon in full time is epitomised in this thread. It would divide the support and he wouldn't have our full backing.

Nah, a want stability over the next two seasons. I think Neil Lennon offers that on top of everything else he offers.

I think a lot of people would be * off at the board, but Neil himself would have our full backing.

A good summer of real investment in the playing squad would go a long way towards convincing the fans this isn't just the cheap option.

So the absolute best manager available to us happens to be right on our doorstep. Some luck that.

    A sound team?

They were completely * and he’s turned them around.

You think so? I only watch Celtic, but based on that, I thought Neil Lennon's Hibs were the best team we played domestically. Something obviously happened this season and none of us know what that is.

For those who are in love.....
There seems to be no middle ground though. It's almost like if we can't get anyone near the snake then let's just go for Lenny..

I find that ludicrously short sighted..

We're on the cusp of greatness. A chance to rebuild with fresh idea's and a new stamp. We're no skint. We're no in the doldrums. A new man can take us to the Champion's League and get exposure himself. The snake left for Leicester and it shows we're a gateway to the EPL for no just player's..

We are still quite a decent attraction..

So has Levein and other's mate. We got skelpt by the diets but I still wouldn't take him..

I don't think he's necessarily a bad manager but we've moved on, and in doing so have improved drastically on and off the pitch to the point Lenny has found it unrecognisable..

That comes with the territory. The way the snake done it was almost a 1 off. You could have a manager with zero affiliation to us that still wouldn't of done it the way that wee gutter 'Celtic man' did..

That being said, if it was still an option....I'd take a calculated risk..

Thank * Bolton and Hibs never realised how good he is.
