He’s still got a decent goal scoring record. I don’t blame him for leaving, he wanted to be in England’s World Cup squad and they were never going to pick a striker who played in Scotland.

And they didn’t even sniff in his direction. Lost out when he moved away. He had it on a plate at Celtic as he was loved by the fans. The sliding goal against the huns and the atmosphere of European nights is what he got here. Nothing since will have matched these football experiences and you have to remember there are many professional players that don’t get to that point.

I don't care that he left us but he hasn't really done anything of note since. He's a few years older and now he's been released from his club? We could do better.

Would have been a cert for Hibs if Lennon was still there.

By all accounts he's settled in South Yorkshire. Wouldn't be at all surprised to see him end up at Barnsley, Leeds (if not promoted) or even Doncaster (if promoted)

Would he want to play for a bottom 6 club in Scotland?

Could do a * of a lot worse for a 3rd choice striker. Just depends on what we’d do in the summer.

See if we spend big on a centre back, right back and winger (biggest priorities for me) Aye I’d take him to plug the gaps in the squad incase Griff and Eddy’s not available.

Otherwise just nah but it wouldn’t be the worst.

He'd be mad to come back to us, he'd never get a look in for the England squad.

Has he not been injured a lot? We can do far better than a guy that isn't good enough for Sheffield Wednesday

He played 83 games for them in 3 seasons, I don’t think that’s not good enough.

Like I said above the, it’d depend on other signings. If we focus our cash on those areas, we could do worse than plug the 3rd choice striker role with Hooper.

His recent retweet makes it appear that he’d want to come back too, which is a bonus for us.
