I don't know how anyone can cheerlead the snake. If we're comparing the snake and Delia or even Barnes and Mowbray I would rather say nothing at all and ignore the thread than have to say anything positive about him. I think I would feel dirty to have to mention his name.

For getting 2 out of 3 trophies over the line? Of course he’d deserve credit.

There’s definitely aspects of management that Lennon is better than Rodgers at.

Feels like this thread is covering old ground now. Rodgers was better domestically, Lennon better in Europe. Both are very capable of developing players, but Lennon has a better eye for a player. Rodgers has better connections and more gravitas with players.

Where I would disagree is with the idea that Lennon’s side was particularly poor to watch. It got turgid at times, but that’s been a common factor amongst every manager we’ve had since as far back as I can rememberer (with the exception of those that never really played any decent football to begin with).

There's no arguing, with regards to trophies, the rat was brilliant and untouchable domestically.

To be honest we had Barca but i don't remember been that confident with Lenny in Europe either. Also, for me, the rat did more harm than good in Europe. I personally had more confidence with MON and WGS in Europe.

I actually wanted Lenny away the first time for our good as well as his own. I was pretty happy that he was available when he was to take the reigns just now. I thought we were getting a more mature and more rounded manager and if anyone understood the gig he did. I think the jury's out a bit more now but if you base it on results for me he's done a grand job on the whole. I'm still not against him the way some are on here but that's there perogative.

I just think some of the criticism is over the top. We've struggled since the start of the season under ratski to the extent the huns were level bar a game in hand at the break. So, for me, his sprarkle had started to fade a bit and he was also in charge of this same squad that was under-achieving at times this season. It turned a bit after Xmas but Rugby Park was a reminder the early season stuff was still lingering about.

Rodgers’ record in Europe is decent. Probably would’ve done even better if he was dealt the hand which Lennon was. Lennon only had a few CL qualifiers followed by groups containing Barca x2; Ajax; Benfica; Spartak Moscow; AC Milan. Imagine drawing a group containing those teams nowadays. Easy street comparatively.

2 CL qualifications and 2 Last 32 runs in 3 seasons. Going by some folks hysterics, we were in crisis following Ronny (what a lot of pish by the way. Find it disgraceful that he is mentioned in the same breath as Mowbray and Barnes in some posts in here; but I digress) and Rodgers ‘turned it round’ straight away. Can’t have it both ways.

Looking forward to seeing his side produce another 9-0 victory against Aberdeen, like back in 2010.

No it isn’t the reason he * off, you’re too kind to him.
He * off because he’s Brendan Rodgers the snake, who is only concerned about me, me, me. & part of it was to help the healing process & bring the club, players & fans back together after the helicopter crash. Which you can’t really fault him for. :fear:

    Your comment.....

(Had a look at the stats there, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but.....

Since he has came in his record is Played 9, Won 6, Drew 3, lost 0, For 12, Against 3, in all comps, having took on a team that had just been put out of Europe and lost their manager but was 8 points clear. He's maintained that gap (actually 9 points now) and done the bulk of the cup work in helping us get through against Aberdeen (3-0) and Hibs (2-0), (two of the teams we had a draw against in the lge) if that record dosen't merit some credit for input towards the Treble, I don't know what does.

So my answer to your question would be Yes, Lenny deserves much of the credit for winning the treble especially the cup

Its true a couple of home draws and late winners could maybe set off some alarm bells and we should have had the lge wrapped up by now, but as I said before I would still give him the benefit of the doubt because he is using another mans team many of whom are not even sure if they will still be playing for the club in a couple of months time which must have an impact on morale.

A decent win today should settle a few nerves.

Ok so you’ve actually changed your tune and say he deserves credit for playing his part in the treble. I agree with that. I wouldn’t say he “won the treble” though like you said before. League cup was already won and he couldn’t have had a easier time in the league. Still struggling through that though.

We’ll probably still win but if he’s appointed full time we won’t win the league next season.

Embarrassing how bad we are at breaking teams down.

Another flat show under Lennon. He simply can't get the job.

Hopefully a better 45mins coming, but that won't change my opinion.
