Surely you’ll not be giving Lennon the credit for the treble if he wins the Scottish Cup?

I think the clubs looking for another Rodgers style manager but if none are available or willing Lennon will keep the job.

Get a class DOF and go down the ‘Head Coach’ route.

If we lose a manager or need to change manager then just go for another person who fits our style and will suit the squad we’ve built.

Changing everything every time we change manager isn’t sustainable long term if we want to keep dominating and eventually be competitive in Europe.

Create a blueprint and stick to it and hire the best people available in every department. We’ve actually got a decent amount of cash to have an overhaul of the whole club.

Lennon isn’t a coach. Would put any money I have on the players getting bored of him trying to shout his way into getting performances and them basically telling him to get to *.

This is the sensible thing to do but it will never happen while under our current structure.

Completely baseless accusation. Plenty of players have praised his one-on-one coaching ability. Joe Ledley did so very recently.

Some of the reasons I don't think NL would be the right decision this time around are ~
We are all aware of the troubled past he has had, beatings in the street, attacked in Tynecastle, hate letters and package bombs.
Do we really need to see this scenario to come back again, and more importantly does he need it. We need the manager to be totally focused on football only, no other distractions. For reasons outwith football he is a target for the bigots and that will never go away.
We don't need serious deflections which will ultimately lead to the 10 in a row coming under serious threat. This is outwith NL's abilities or lack of to manage a team, in a normal environment.

NL: "We are a club in mourning. First of all, on behalf of the players and staff, our thoughts go out to Liz and the family. Liz was just a rock for Billy over his whole life."

NL: "The family gave Billy tremendous comfort, love and care through debilitating illness. So first of all our thoughts are with the family."

NL: "When I received the news, I got this overwhelming feeling of nostalgia and emotion because Billy McNeill was Celtic. He was an icon, a hero. When I was growing up, you hear stories of Lisbon Lions and they are without a doubt the greatest team in the club’s history.

NL: "When I first got the job he was tremendous support to me. Not only during the good times, but more importantly during tough times. He gave me a lot of advice. I couldn’t thank him enough for that."

NL: "I saw Charlie Nicholas on tears on TV and I had a cry myself. I don’t think Billy realised how much he meant to so many people associated with the club. We have lost him, and it is a huge loss to our club."

NL: "We want to obviously win the league and with this in the background, it adds more significance to the game. The players will be highly motivated on two fronts now to put on a show and I’m sure the support will give Billy the tribute he deserves."

NL: "Saturday will be emotional but I think the fans will give Billy a huge tribute and the players need to buy into that, feed off it, enjoy it and celebrate Billy’s life and his career.

We’ve been saying this for a good while now, but it just won’t happen with PL pulling the strings.

The popcorn teeth comment was an absolute disgrace.
Not sure any other stuff deserves to be labelled hunnish unless I've missed something, possible and I'm open to correction but I've been following this thread closely as I find it fascinating and both sides of the arguement making valid points.
Every single players thread on this site bar possibly KT has at least one 'not good enough' or a 'punt' comment in it, even Brown. I don't see why Neil Lennon whilst our manager should be exempt from proper scrutiny.

Aye Lawwell wants far too much control imo, that’s basically the reason the snake * off as it was a massive clash of egos. I’m not saying either was right but it’s always going to be an issue bubbling away in the background.

I honestly can’t see it, they are wanting that wage bill down. Apart from Lawwell’s mind you.

If people give their opinion respectfully then I agree. Demeaning the man's achievements and making up unadulterated * to suit your argument doesn't fall in that category.

No chance would every other side in world football have blown an 8 point lead over that terrible Rangers team. What makes you think every other side would implode because of that? Countless teams lose their manager and recover fine.

If thats what you think some people are doing fair enough, but to be honest i think people are just giving an opinion on lennon while still acknowledging the things he has done for the club.
