You’ve obviously not read my posts. Pick and choose like you’ve been doing with our performances.

We'll all be delighted if we win the treble. That doesn't mean we can't still be against Lennon getting the job.

As MacEwan said, Lenny would get all the credit he deserves if we skelp Hearts 5-0 and win the treble. However some people, no matter how bad we play, or how * a result is, will still defend Lenny to the hilt. Coming up with excuse after excuse, bringing up some of Rodgers results and saying "well Lenny did better in this particular fixture" etc.

Ridiculous name to call people trying to inject a bit of objectivity to the debate while some act hysterically.

It's not all sugar and it's not all *.

Our form has been far from perfect. The whole situation is far from perfect but. Looking at the full picture and taking everything into consideration I would be happy with a treble and Lennon getting it full time.

I can see the final being a tough game and wouldn't be surprised if there's a few controversial desicions against us.
Hopefully we can come through it no matter what.

Back the man in the summer and I think we will see a different team and style for the better.

Hopefully yous can be a bit more positive and back him if he does get the job at the end of the season. Instead of the I told you so routine at any slight opportunity.

It’s not a name. They are defending Lennon and unwilling to give criticism.

You’re right, I’ve already said previously in this thread it’s not a black or white situation. I’ve also said what I feel it would take for Lennon to earn the job, he hasn’t done that yet. Which I believe is fair.

Only positive for me would be that we might get a cupla decent German lads in out of his possible contacts, and that he worked under/alongside Klopp so surely like the rest of that bunch of guys you'd expect them all to be ingrained with that rock n roll" footballing philosophy?

Have to admit, can't say I actually recall watching anything of Huddersfield other than the odd snippet on Sky Sports News or maybe the odd MOTD, so I don't know if he's actually any good or not?

I have renewed and I will back him if he gets the job, of course.

I’m sure you’ll get the “I told you so” from whichever side, whether he’s successful or if he’s not.

That's a reasonable position and one I'd probably echo.

For some on here and in the wider support there doesn't appear to be any balance though.

Has he won games that we might not have under the rat? Quite possibly.

Have we dropped points under Lennon that we might not have under the rat? Most probably.

Have we performed poorly on several occasions? Undoubtedly.

Are there mitigating circumstances for that? Undoubtedly.

Does that mean Lennon hasn't made mistakes since he's came in? Absolutely not.

Are we still on track to complete a Treble Treble? Aye.

Should Lennon have our gratitude and support for stepping in during difficult circumstances and keeping that dream alive? Absolutely.

I'm still willing to get behind Lennon fully, support the team and then judge things on May 26th. Some of the petulant stuff written on here and spoken in pubs/buses has been an absolute riddy in my opinion. The very same people that would demand unfaltering loyalty from players and managers are the same ones getting giddy about slagging Lennon; bizarre.

The problem isn't "objectivity", it's people just blatantly unwilling to criticise him for making glaring mistakes and instead laying all the blame at Rodgers and the squad he left/way he left. Is Rodgers at fault for where we are in terms of our squad and form of the past year or two? Of course he is. But Lennon has to take some blame as well for the last two months.

Considering he was Klopp's assistant you'd think he would've helped him out with 1 or 2 decent quality player's over the last 2 season's your Ings' and Lallana's etc but don't think he had any whatsoever?

They honestly looked garbage anytime I saw them mate..

I recommend people read this Twitter thread. Sums up my feelings, and the feelings of plenty of others, absolutely perfectly.

Summed it up pretty well there.

The problem is on here, if you criticise him you’re hounded and put into the “Lennon hater” category. If you praise him you’re hounded and put into the “Lennon lover” category. It’s just not that simple.

After the Cup Final is when to decide whether he gets the job. I’ve just said I’d like rather we go down a different route and he’s not earned it yet.

I'll take your word for it mate.

If that's the case then I'd rather end up with * Roberto Martinez then :56::56::56:

I agree. I just find it crass some of the comments made about the guy or his previous achievements simply because they don't want him as the permanent manager. Some of the stuff would genuinely not be out of place on a hun forum.

I said when he took over that I would refrain from any criticism and then reflect at the end of the season. When the rat left I would've been just happy to win the league such was the upheaval; plenty echoed that sentiment on the day. We're well on the way to doing that and we're in the Scottish Cup Final with a brilliant chance at completing the Treble Treble.

Irrespective of whether we do that, I want the best candidate in the post. If one is available and willing to take over then I want us to go for him. If that's not Lennon then I'm quite alright with that but he will always have my gratitude and honestly I think that should be universal.

As Sean Mac D just posted all i want and all of us want is the best possible candidate for the job if Lenny is the best candidate that goes for it so be it

Close thread, nothing more needs saying.

Lennon is a * hero at this club, I will always love him and no bad result or loss of a Treble Treble will diminish that love.

If we can get better then we must, and do so with urgency, if Lennon is the best we can get then fine, give the man the backing let him finally change things up and go into the next season with everything in place to see this man lead us to the 10.

I think announcing another manager before the Scottish Cup Final could very easily backfire. It would be disrespectful to Lennon first and foremost while we're on the brink of history and given we're already being short-changed by some 'performers' in the squad, they might down tools altogether.

The board should have a good idea of realistic targets in the next few weeks but any official announcement should be kept til after the final.

Yeah I am coming round to that in fairness.

I at least hope, given we've been so quiet publicly about the role they have perhaps already got their man as I don't think it serves Lennon or the players by holding out on announcing he's our guy for the 10.

    If that makes sense?
