Hope Spurs go through, mental that Pep hasn’t beat any English club in Europe with City.

He's only played 3 games against English clubs.

Think if City get through then they’ll dispose of Ajax, especially with De Bruyne back pulling the strings.

It would be at least interesting if a team that's not rich win the CL. Maybe we could have some inspiration from that, too. I do like Son at Tottenham, and would hope he at least sees a CL final.

That’s how I’m seeing it as well.

If Man City advance against Spurs though I think it’ll be the Pep vs Barca final.

    * sakes Messi, I keep thinking one say I'll end up just going 'och, that's typical of him.' but I can't, that goal he scored, how many times does he snooker that corner shot but last night it seemed to have a little extra venom on it and it's literally unstoppable, Salah's goal for Liverpool, they are unstoppable unless you've got an 8ft keeper but the difference is Messi does that so often it's becoming literally spooky, like abnormal someone can be that good.

Mind you they probably said that about Da Vinci and how inventive he was. I'd put Messi in that range and there should be images of his greatest moves hung in the Louvre because it is without a doubt the purest form of art, such a pure undestanding of the form and raising it to a higher level never imagined, I just hope it's not the highest ever because I said there would be no one better than Maradona and here he is and I even more adamant there won't be someone better than Messi in the next 100 years but wow just wow, imagine it happened

I haven't been watching Ajax but * happened to them? Weren't they in the same position as us recently, having to go through loads of rounds?

Last two games I've seen them in the CL they've totally destroyed teams but it's not just the quick one touch passing, it's the deliberation of those passes, it's like they're always picking the right runner, very few balls wasted even under pressure.

I can't remember a team failing to qualify not that long ago and suddenly looking like they have a very decent chance of winning it, I mean that is incredibley stylish football they play.

How on earth did that happen? I know they've got Blind and Shurrle? That's as far as I know. Maybe hope for us with the right training and confidence.

That is quite extraordinary, I mean how did they improve so much? They totally destroyed Juve, not only a team with Ronaldo still on hot form but an Italian team who know all about the dark arts of distrupting play and getting under the skins of their opponents like the did at Celtic Park but Ajax played as if they didn't give a *.

Not a great admirer of their fans but who cares, still have to admire the transformation of that team.

How many teams have transformed that quickly? Don't say Leicester :56: That is a * league although City are playing some increadible football under Pep. Still prefer Liverpool to get to the Final and get pumped by Barca.

Mind you, Pep vs Barca would be full of intrigue so probably the best final for the game.

I mind watching a City Fan's blog who was at the game and he said it was incredible but said both teams were amazing, the atmophere was how football in the CL should be and it was a fair result in the end with lots of excellent goals from all out attacking football.

That City game was incredible, that was when we were still in the mental state Brendan brings to every club 'nothing can stop us if we're positive and believe in ourselves.' The unfortunate thing for Brendan I think and I hope I'm wrong is once he's successful I think he gets itchy feet and keeps wanting to prove himself until maybe he gets a team who are CL challengers. He'll need to learn how to defend though.

Not that I need other fans to tell me what magic can be created at Celtic Park especially on CL nights but it was still cool to hear especially when you consider how the pundits down south think we are all pish in Scotland. I need to make a short thread about that cause it really wound me up recently what Savage said.

Maybe it's been posted already so hopefully a mod can delete it.

Looks like he's wanting the first goal before making subs. Still seems a bit risky playing near enough a full team when they're 4 0 up and have 4 ultra critical league games left to play. An injury tonight would be a disaster.

Maybe he's just showing respect to both Porto and the UCL competition.
