VAR is what made it a "plain and simple" decision - the use of replays makes these decisions simple for the referee as oppose to having to guess.[/QUOTE]

Do you not know how to quote *?

Because slowing pretty much anything down makes it look deliberate and worse than it actually was.

It really wouldn’t mate, seen it loads of times. The Italians are * masters at it, as was the likes of Carles Puyol. The latter pretty much tried to block everything with his arms behind his back.

It doesn’t matter if it’s delibrate, it’s if he made his body bigger with his arms and if it made contact with his arms.

Slowing it down makes it look like a deliberate act, when it clearly isn’t.. real time speed gives a more realistic perception.

Like I said above, it doesn’t matter in the slightest if it’s delibrate or not.

    The rulebook states
"if a players arm is outstretched or above his head, then a penalty should be awarded whether contact is deliberate or not"

The bottom line is, if the ball hits your arm and your arms aren't pretty much by your sides, it is a foul in the laws of the game.

    * stupid in my opinion but that is what it says.
