Strachan's Autobiography

Discussion in 'Celtic Chat' started by ciderman22, Jun 14, 2008.

  1. Has anyone read Gordons book? I just got it for a bargain price of £3.99 (marked down from £18.99) and was wondering if I was ripped off or it really is a good read. Going to save it for my holidays.

Done a search on this but found nothing, sorry if I didnt look hard enough.

  2. If it´s no good you could always rip the pages out to wipe yer aerse.:84:

  3. I said it was a bargain for a book but its a bit expensive for some hard bog roll :38:

  4. Is there any such book ?

  5. Its called Strachan My life in football

On Amazon ( I cant post links yet) :31:

  6. Ive got it. Its a decent read. Only cover his first season at Celtic though. Its got a lot of interesting stuff about Alex Ferguson in it. I also recently got Archie McPherson's biography of big jock. Its a good one:50: Alex Ferguson's own one 'Managing my Life' is good too.

  7. I bought it on the same basis, i.e. heavily discounted, it is ineresting but as you say it only covers his very early days here. I certainly wouldnt have wanted to pay full wack for it.

  8. tbh at £3.99 theres no way you could've been ripped off lol.

you can hardly buy the paper it was printed on for that amount lol

  9. Might invest in that meself

Best autobiography I read was George Bests. Tragic to read but hilarious at times as well, what a * fruit-loop he was!

Worst I read was Craig Browns, what a * dull wee man he is. Tells you how he invented the extra sweeper system years before everyone else and how he explained it at the Largs coaching courses!

    * riveting stuff eh!!??

  10. I bought it the other day asell for £3.99 from that cheap book shop in the St. Enoch centre...it's quite a good read, it only covers up to his first season with us, but still the whole autobiography was quite good for that price.

  11. I must admit, as a Manchester City (and Celtic) fan, It was a hard decision to buy this book because of his time spent on the other side of Manchester but thought he might spill a few beans on sour alex or some other rag.

  12. Get Di Canio's or Hartson's books. Both crackers.

does anyone know if billy mcneil has an autobiography?

  13. doesn't matter a found it :icon_mrgreen:
