He has until the end of the season, for me. He has done nothing in the last five years to merit longer than that. (And his record as Celtic manager before that is patchy, at best.)

I'm grateful to Lennon, but let's remember that he left Hibernian in eighth place in the Scottish Premiership. No other club in our position would have offered him this opportunity, let alone a season or more, to prove his competency.

Honestly reading through that was fist clenchingly annoying this isn't his set up he might not even be here next year for * sake it's not like we have regressed we have been * all season with a couple patches of form honestly everyone here giving it to Lennon tight where was any of you when the snake was drawing games left right and centre. It's not his team not his set up we had scraps of a coaching set up left and scraps of a back room team alot of folk on here have short memories Lennon is here to steady the ship I dont care how he gets across the line as long as he gets us across it that's all.that matter. You all want fast flowing attacking football from.a stuttering injury ravaged team who's manager walked out right before crunch time have a word with yourself and look at the big picture

Listen, we are all massive Neil Lennon fans and I think most people are 50/50 on whether he should be our next permanent manager. But...

When you take emotion out of the equation, Lennon probably isn't the man for us. In an ideal world, he would be our manager long-term but if I am honest with myself I think Lennon is a big downgrade from Rodgers.

I don't want to criticise Lennon at all, he is exactly what we needed when Rodgers walked out on us, but I'd rather we tried to attract another big name manager and go and dominate as much as we did during Rodgers first season.

What a load of bollox. We have been playing awful long before Lenny came on board. This squad of players have stagnated. We need 4 new players in for 2019 - 2020. Remember when the previous manager was in charge and how bad we were in plenty of our games. This is NOT Neil Lennon's issue. He may not get the job as many on here are saying but the playing squad needs over hauled. Also, understand the BIG problem with this current squad. Lenny hit the nail in the head with his after match interview. I wish the players would not play too many passes. This is systemic to how Rodgers had ingrained the players to play. That style is not going to change anytime soon especially with that squad.

    Birthday caird pish.

Let’s give it up with the whole “he took over a fractured squad, the players were let down” etc etc. They are adults for * sake. They were probably * off Rodgers left, not heartbroken and unable to continue doing their job.

Everybody appreciates Lenny taking the job and helping us, however he’s been here for long enough to make an impact and put his stamp on the team. It’s not worked. Yes we’ve not lost any games but we’ve drawn a couple, and needed late, late winners in others to paper over the cracks.

As people have said, the fact it’s a club legend is making some people overlook the clear drawbacks of appointing him. His first stint here had a fantastic European campaign. Other than that, it was nothing special. Since then he’s not really done a whole lot. He left Hibs a couple of months ago in a bit of a mess. Now look at them.

Bringing in a new manager is obviously a massive gamble but as I said before he is a legend but many will say he won titles against NO competition. Yeah he clawed back a 15 point gap in 2011/12 but after that he had 2 free years we won the league at the start of March in 2014!

For me the performances have all been * apart from hibs away in the cup tbh.

I thought the football played in the first half at Tynecastle was superb and should have been at least 3 up.
The second half has been the same old under NL in most of the games he's been in charge since he came in....it's not really good enough and similar to Ronny.

Undefeated, as much as a fan as the rest of us. He will give it his all to ensure that lasts. I wouldn’t be against the idea of someone coming in as some sort of director of football role. I’m just worried our board will take a gamble on an unknown

I would give Lenny the chance on the basis that there’s a rebuild needing done, he sorted us out before and could do it again imo. He has came in and said he doesn’t want to upset things to much, yes the performances haven’t been great at times, but he has got us big results in places we struggled earlier this season. My big concern is our performances at Parkhead since he had came in.

He knows how to win titles?I would imagine any manager we get in would be expected to have that ability(at least).
Like the majority on here id love lenny to get the job if he was good enough.

But from what we have seen so far it seems he may not be up to it,we dont seem to be improving under him and i fear if he is in charge next season we may struggle progress in the manner we hope.

Maybe im wrong but i dont think the rat rodgers ever won a league title before he joined so we couldnt say he knows how to win titles but we took a chance with him and he done ok.

I doubt we ever appointed a manager on his innate ability to lose titles.....ask Brady, Macari, Mowbray how easy it is though.....we expected them to win a title did we not ?

Further to that point......why do you expect Lenny to improve someone else's team when the last guy was often found devoid of ideas during games where we didn't perform at all well ?.....it's still the same players with the same frailties....right ?

Somehow Lenny walks through the door a few weeks ago and the team are just supposed to kick on as if he's the Messiah.

I think your judgement of Lenny is premature and, under these difficult circumstances, I'm sure we all want the same success level whether we agree or not about the next guy and who it might be etc : Hail, Hail

The managers you mention would be expected to know how to win titles (they wouldnt be appointed otherwise)we agree on that and thats my point, knowing how to win titles is not a unique talent lennon has and it doesn't guarantee success.

Im a fan of lennons and i hope your correct regarding my judgement of him regarding our performances under him so far but iv seen nothing yet to convince me.

And yes we have the same players but as with most teams(man utd /leicester hate to say that) when they get a new manager they go on a bit of a run but we seem to be stagnant and i fear we may not kick on under lennon.

Would you like lennon to get the job or would you like to see us go with someone else?

It will be the same idiots that held us back appointing Mowbray replacing WGS that are against appointing Neil Lennon. Very similar to the nutters who got McLeish instead of Strachan for Scotland. Neil Lennon, was and has Neen the 2nd best Celtic manager in my lifetime and the perfect guy to lift 10 in a row! He started it!!!!!

Wake up people. Appointing anyone else is a mistake!
