Neil Lennon

I like his attitude in terms of defending the players and the club, but I don't think he is the man to take us forward.

It really could put 10-in-a-row in serious jeopardy.

Once this league is won, he'll get credit for it and rightly so, he's taken over the club at a difficult time thanks to the snake, but I really do hope we've been reaching out to some quality candidates. We need to get the managerial position cleared up quickly. We have CL qualifiers in July ffs.

 

Anyone wanting him next season needs their head checked.

 

3 or 4 very late winners have stopped him getting dragged into a title race. We haven't looked convincing once.
This is the guy who parted ways with 8th placed Hibs a few months back. Sentiment aside we deserve better.

 

And look how well Hibs are doing without him.

I think we should be reaching out to Arsene Wenger or Rafa Benetiez.

Yep. "Physically and psychologically tired". Give it up.

We had an international break, and a couple of weeks where there were no midweek fixtures. That's more rest than we've had for long enough. No more excuses.

 

I remember what was it three 0-0s in a row in November/December of his first season? Same * now.

 

When Hibs players are saying Paul * Heckingbottom has stepped up the training, tactical work, technology, analysis then it says a lot...

 

If managing Celtic was about showing incredible courage and defending the club at press conferences -or battling to the odd unexpected victory against superior European opposition- then it would be Lenny every day of the week. But we need a guy with the technical and tactical smarts to put these inferior domestic teams to the sword.

Instead, we've gone back to battling for results in every single game.

 

Was in the 50/50 camp about him getting the job but the more games he's in charge, the more the doubt grows on his ability to get this group of players to perform.

 

Cheap option . Wont complain about funds because his stock is at an all time low and he knows how lucky he is to have this gig.
The board will dress it up as a homecoming or him being one of us etc but it is farcical with the funds available to appoint this man.

 

What's particularly worrying is that his half time team talks and his substitutions are tending to make us even play even worse.

That's one of my worries with Lennon. He said how amazed he was when he came back to see all the advancements behind the scenes. Get the feeling he's quite old school with his training and analysis. Don't want to go back to that.

 

Lenny's a dinosaur mate. His comments about being overwhelmed by the technological and scientific advances at the club Under BR says it all.

 

Have a horrible feeling the only way he loses the job is if the sheep beat us in the semi, and that's looking far more likely with how we're playing.

 

Lennon’s champions league run aside, his previous spell as Celtic wasn’t great. Won the league titles with no credible opposition whatsoever and his cup record was absolutely shocking. It would be a massive backwards step if he was given the job.

 

If he really believed that he would rest more players such as Tierney today. Forrest, Brown, those guys are playing every week because we cant beat livingston even with our best eleven

 

Agree with all of this.

Beyond the fact he's a club legend, I don't get why anyone wants him back permanently. It's glaringly obvious we need better.

 

Dire football as bad as some of the stuff his team served up first time around really don't want him in charge permanently.
