He has also played for about five clubs (+ Celtic) at junior and senior level plus played for USA for about five years as a junior so probably played under quite a few skippers

    To quote Paul McBride RIP

On the SFA "the laughing stock of world football", and "not merely dysfunctional and dishonest, but biased".

NEIL Lennon has hailed Scott Brown as ‘a modern-day great’, praising the Celtic captain for his character, both in last Sunday’s derby victory and throughout his time at the club.

The Hoops boss has been delighted with his team’s performances this week, with victories over Rangers and St Mirren putting the team 13 points clear at the top of the table with just six games remaining.

And he believes that Scott Brown has been a key figure on putting the team on the verge of an eighth consecutive league title.

Speaking exclusively to Celtic TV, and reflecting on last Sunday’s Glasgow derby, Neil Lennon said: “My players have been exemplary, absolutely exemplary, under immense provocation themselves.

“Scott Brown has nothing to defend himself for. I think that his treatment on the pitch was nothing short of disgraceful. He’s been elbowed, he’s been hit in the face but he takes it, he stands up to it, and comes back for more, and that’s the character of the man.

“You get the usual nonsense and trying to put the same eggs in the one basket, but we’re totally exempt from any blame for this whatsoever.

“Scott Brown will go down in the annals of history as a great player. I think he’s a modern-day great, he knows his way around the pitch and even at 33, he’s still playing some great football.

“He is now captaining us to hopefully eight titles in a row and there’s not many who could do that. His consistency, his personality, his character and his football are all fantastic for this club.

I’ll give Johnny a shout see if he can do it live on the top deck. As long as it isn’t windy, he doesn’t look great without his bunnet

Seen this on twitter. Josh Windass 18months ago apparently made rude gestures to Partick Thistle fans.

Josh Windass is free to face Celtic after it emerged he won't face action by the Compliance Officer, due to new SFA rule
An SFA spokesman said: “The only cause for retrospective action now is for violent conduct, serious foul play or spitting missed by the match officials.” There was the possibility that Tony McGlennan, the compliance officer, could have used rule 202 which covers “excessive misconduct” if he wished to cite Windass but he decided it was not merited.

Had he done so, he would have been greeted with stern resistance from Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha who feels McGlennan’s hands were tied as he did not act when the Hibernian manager Neil Lennon gestured at Ibrox on 12 August. Similarly, Kyle Lafferty seemed to make an offensive gesture at the Celtic fans a week earlier and the compliance officer did not get involved.

    NL: “The club will defend

vigorously for any charges he’s been cited for

NL: “we pride ourselves on our discipline.

NL: “I think it’s a trumped up charge. I think it’s been concocted because of pressure from the media or elsewhere.

I heard some guy on the radio and thought ah well maybe he will get a ban and then the above was the only video I could see and thought well that's not it and assumed there must be another video which there isn't.

Doesn't gesture once to Rangers fans except for hands raised everything else is towards the main stand.

The guy last night was making up. Some amount of * even wanting a square go with Mark Wilson, ffs. Knuckledragger of the highest order.
