Aye there’s no argument on what he did or where his failings lay..

But, we’re unrecognisable as a club on and off the park compared to what we were before he arrived.. there’s no point denying that because of his failings in Europe or because of the manner of his departure.

I just want that built upon and hopefully it will be Lenny that does it.. first step is to manoeuvre himself into a position to get the chance.

Lennon will set us up more defensively but I don’t think he’s going to make a massive difference in Europe.

The Barca win is one of those games that won’t be repeated. We’ll probably never see another team so dominant and lose the game in our lifetime.

We got pumpings under him from one of the worst AC teams ever, Juve, and the performance against Ajax was one of the most embarrassing I can remember at home in Europe, away to them was even worse.

The same people a few months ago moaning about the boards ambition and not backing Rodgers suddenly want someone who was sacked by Bolton and had Hibs in 8th and going backwards before being punted, to take us forward?

Love him for stepping up when Rodgers left but absolutely no way should he be given the job even if we win the treble treble.

Hopefully we show some ‘ambition’ and go out and get someone that will actually improve us.

Well it will need built upon starting with our full defence, and it will need done quick in the window to have any chance in the qualifying rounds. I would give Lennon it but if there’s a chance Rose would come then sadly I would choose him over Lenny.

People forget that same season Barca need an injury time goal to beat us in the camp nou. Another freak game?

Edit:If it was the knockout stages we would have need extra time to knock them out:67:

I don’t think it’s fair to criticise the way we’ve been playing lately, particularly when he’s inherited a team that he’s had no time to change, and he’s actually getting results. The sevco game with certainly be an acid test of sorts.

In terms of long term replacement for Rodgers, it’s really just a case of ‘wait and see’ right now. Personally, I would be more than happy to give up an free-flowing style domestically in return for not getting absolutely smacked about in Europe.

Unless marco rose decides he wants a crack at british football at a global club and prove AGAIN he can create a cracking giant killing side with * all budget.... its going to be lennon.

The board will not splash on a big name and lenny is a safe pair of hands.

Why is Marco Rose even being mentioned?

I know his odds were slashed, but why?

Which shows the importance of not ripping out the spine of your team and not replacing them.

Rodgers team at it’s best got * pulverised at that level. That’s pretty much the difference.

After they sold our best player and give Lenny peanuts from the huge profit made that year. The board can take 100% of the blame for that in my eyes

We lost Wilson who we replaced with VVD who was an inifinitely better CB than Wilson.

We lost Hooper and Wanyama but Hooper didn’t even play in the 2-1 game.

Sold our best player then also signed someone who turned out to be our best player in VVD.

Credit to Lenny for that but he needed more time to mould Virgil

People are letting the Barca win cloud their judgement. It might have been something Rodgers couldn’t manage but it shouldn’t be the height of our ambitions.

The performance at home to one of the worst Milan sides ever was * horrific.
