100% mate, like I say there’s positives and negatives..

The international break will give him a chance to catch his breath and make the place more like home.

Think that last part is something that Lenny will never need to worry about, like James Forrest says above in his interview :62:

Managing and leaving cash-strapped Bolton isn't exactly what you'd expect of your new manager.

Managing Hibs to a Championship victory, decent finish the following season and qualifying for Europe in your first season in the top flight is decent, but leaving under a cloud isn't.

Although before managing Bolton and Hibs the most desirable pre-cursor for the job was obviously managing the club before - with league titles, two Scottish cups and x2 CL qualifications plus a qualification for the last 32 of CL is exactly the type of qualities you'd like for your next manager.

Probably our most succesfull manager I’ve witnessed in the transfer market as well. Van Dijk, Wanyama, Forster alone we’re actual proper CL quality. Not counting ones like the shrewdness of Hoe Ledley etc.

We ever earned more money off of a managers signings than Lenny’s?

He said himself that he feels he’s living in someone else’s house... probably like moving back in with your ex taking on their kids as well as your own.. :56:

Is he a manager who can build on what Rodgers has built tho? An innovator if you like, one who can take the club forward in everything we do? I’m not convinced..

But, I hope he manoeuvres himself into a position whereby he gets the chance.

Lenny has excelled Brendan before by taking Celtic to the knockout stages of the Champions League.
I am not saying yet however he is definitely the man for the job this time, I am keeping my powder dry.
But he has my sympathy and respect going forward, I hope he does well because he obviously
would love the job again going by yesterday's celebrations.

Off the top of my head:

    £10m McGeady
    £2m Boruc
    £12m Wanyama
    £12m Van Dijk
    £12m Forster
    £5m Hooper
    £6m Ki
    £2.5m Kelvin Wilson
    £1m McManus

On top of whatever other nominal fees we got in for other players that left anaw.

Now bearing in mind that (roughly) the fees we paid for

    Wanyama (£600k)
    Van Dijk (£2.5m)
    Forster (£1.5m)
    Hooper (£2.4m)
    Ki (* knows £1.5m?)
    Wilson (Bosman)

That's a profit of something in the region of 40m on Wanyama, VanDijk, Forster, Hooper and Ki alone...

So aye, pretty * excellent indeed!

Nothing will ever feat what Rodgers achieved DOMESTICALLY in the short period of time that the wee fat ugly * brought us, European-wise back-to-back CL qualifications was everything that was expected from a board perspective, but the results were poor.

Will Lennon achieve the same domestic results in the same time-frame of Fraudgers? Probably not. Is he capable of leading us to the coveted 10IAR? Aye. Can Lennon install a temperament into the team that can take us to the CL group stages and gain equal, if not better results and/or performances? Potentially yes.

Tbf, he didn’t sign McGeady, Boruc or Ki just sold them we got a further £7.5m for Van Dijk when he was sold to Liverpool as well.

Aye, just remembered it was Mowbray who signed Ki, but those later names were the ones (except now Ki) Lennon signed in his tenure (with the assistance of Park and Lawwell) who were signed for small fees and sold on for big profit.

In everything we do? Don’t think we were going anywhere under Brendan in Europe. Rodgers believed there was a glass ceiling at Celtic that there was nothing he could do about it.

Lenny has actually already got further than where Brendan drew that line.

Facts are Lenny took us into champions league and we were not cannon fodder, Rodgers didnt / couldnt and we were cannon fodder, a warm up for the big boys. As for 10IAR unless sevco make massive investments in their playing squad and get an experienced manager in then there should be no problem. ( as long as we can get a quality defence in place for CL and domestics )

I think that it worth contemplating whether a club whose success we hope to emulate - Red Bull Salzburg seems to be the yardstick these day - would appoint Lennon.

Rodgers brought high standards of professionalism to the club, and I want us to maintain them, but, frankly, I can only see them falling under Lennon. (Would Lennon have the ruthlessness to drop a player who weighed above his optimal weight, regardless of his form, for example?)

For me, he needs to show that he has moved with the times if he is to secure the job on a permanent basis.

I love Lennon's passion. He knows, like all of us, that we can beat anyone at Celtic Park, and he will instill a fearlessness in his players. He has also proven to be a shrewd operator in the transfer market, despite our constraints. (Rodgers' Anglocentric worldview definitely hindered us in on both of those fronts.)

Got a decent fee for Hooper too for being in the last year of his contract.
Ledley and mulgrew both said he's the best manager they have had in there interviews with Simon Ferry too.

Lenny did brilliantly to get us out of the group stages in one of the two seasons we qualified during his first spell. But the last time he took us into the Champions League we won one and lost five in the group stages-including a 6-1 pumping by Barcelona. We scored 3 goals in 6 games and conceded 14.

I would hope he would organize us so we don't take so many humiliating defeats, but I don't see us beating the rich clubs again any time soon.
