    Performance wise, recently, we haven't been at it and I don't think there's a great deal in it on days like today. If we turn up like we did today and Rangers turn up as they have since Xmas it will be two fairly poor, out of form teams playing it out.

    To be fair, I don't think we've been at it consistently for a good while now, these performances weren't uncommon under Rodgers so I don't get the negativity being aimed at Lennon already.

    This was the Huns season to close the gap given everything I said in the post you quoted and they * it.

    I can't remember which injuries were in which half now but I remember O'Dea having a head knock for while, Ajer having to get treatment for head injury, 5 subs (I think) and Dundee players going down two or three times. Ajer must have been getting treatment for a couple of minutes at least.

    Sinclair and Forrest in another day could have had 2 goals a piece JT. Hard football to watch and I am raging the way teams set out. Don’t mind defensive play and trying to play the game but to have a 11 men defending in final third is criminal. I know they can’t compete with us over the long haul but there you go they got beat anyway and would have been better to be beaten playing some form of football. Must be disheartening and * going out to face a team that plays like that because they deserve no respect and nothing from the game.

    he should look to interchange with sinclair as much as possible, feel it would benefit him and us brilliantly

    sinclair knows how to score and gets fed up in the wide area at times eduard likes to play off the left hand side

    * game to watch but a wins a win.

    A big fan of lennons but while its early days with him so far we havent been any where near as convincing as we should be.

    Only time will tell but unless there is a big improvement in us under him in our next few games i wouldnt be happy with him to control full time.

    TL;DR -- Really glad that we pulled through for this one. Very important 3 points to now make the gap 10!!


    This match tells me that the Bhoys are really ready for this season to be over. It’s been a * of a year to be fair, but we really needed to have wrapped up this game in a better fashion. I would have thought that Dundee would have been a fairly comfortable match for it. We, once again, made things difficult for ourselves, but credit that we did pull through, literally last-minute!

    1) Formation — what was it today? We looked all over the place.

    2) Penalty — should have had a penalty with the tug on Sinclair. Think that may have given us a wee boost and Dundee a scare.

    3) Corners — are we not spending time with this on the training ground? I hold my head down every time we get one. It’s been like this for a long while now, too. Baffling!

    4) Performance was flat:

    Bain — 8/10 (MOTM, really saved this game for us)

    Toljan — 2/10 (had a real stinker and doesn’t look like he wants to be here
    Lustig — 5/10 (good effort for playing out of position)
    Ajer — 5/10 (had a couple of knocks and think it affected his play)
    KT — 5/10 (not his best, but think he’s still getting back into good form)
    Broony — 5/10 (lost possession a few times but worked hard)
    CalMac — 6/10 (he’s just getting back but had a few good moments)
    JF — 4/10 (love JF and he had a great assist, but this was a poor game for him apart from that singular moment)
    Mikey — 4/10 (has potential but needs to bulk up — we needed a stronger player to start)
    Sinclair — 5/10 (better than the others up front but still not a very good performance)
    Eddy — 5/10 (thank * for that goal but seemed to lack energy for the rest of the match :) )

    Subs:
    Hayes — 6/10 (credit to him - he always works hard!)
    Benko — 5/10 (should have been on sooner and for Toljan, but too bad for Ajer!)
    Weah — 5/10 (not enough time and missed a chance)




    Let’s hope we rest up and set ourselves up well for Slippy G and the Sevconuts! Mon the Hoops!!!:party22:
