If Lennon sees us over the finish line in the league comfortably and wins the Scottish Cup to complete the Rebel Treble, then the job must be his.

He’s Celtic through and through, has captained the club and has great relations with Lawwell and Desmond. Plus, Lenny put up with a lot of * like post bombs and death threats but he answered our call in a heartbeat when BR left us in the lurch - and his since led us to 2 massive victories.

I would love a Marco Rose or Benitez but they would be away after a season or two. Lenny could be our manager for a decade.

It doesn't matter a * who the the manager is if he ain't given the players to do the job i dare say it will be the cheapest option possible

As much of a *, Rodgers was you can't deny that he brought some good times to the fans.

    1. Tanked Rangers more than once
    2. Treble x2
    3. Invincibles title

He has left them in a good shape domestically, but yes, he is a massive * for leaving early. If Celtic win the treble this season he will be forgotten about soon enough. Lennon will be the one known as the treble-winning manager. TBH I don't think Rodgers will last too long at LCFC, they are expecting too much after winning the league a few seasons ago.

    Anyway, the next Celtic manager...

If there is no treble then it won't be Lennon. The next manager would possibly be...

If it is Moyes, might as well give up on the 10 in a row. Or give up on a title altogether. Would rather have Deila back.

I actually think a German manager would be good for Celtic. I would go for Rangnick.

    Mourinho :56:

He’d run the club into the ground in 6 month.

If Lennon wins the treble treble then he deserves the job imo, if he fails to do so then I hope Celtic push the boat out and try and get someone proven like Rafa Benitez, I know its unlikely but not impossible.

I don’t think Lenny getting the job, should be dependent on two Cup games tbh, sometimes anything can happen.. if he gets this squad fully firing, playing good attacking football and an obvious buy in from the players. I’d be happy..

You keep saying this about every manager :56:
Lennon spent nearly £13million in his last season in charge.
Lenny got the hump because PL got rid of Mjallby and was going to bring in Deila to then take over from Lennon eventually.

I'm not against Lenny getting the job but it prbably depends on performances, if we increase the gap in the league and get to the final and lose then he probably 50/50 with me. If the points gap ends up narrower and we get papped out in the semi's then he shouldnt get the job imo. The ideal scenario would be for Celtic to wipe the floor with everyone from now till the end of the season, start planning for next season with Lennon. This preseason is crucial. Let's hope he wins 3 cups and is here to lead us to 10.

Alex Neil getting touted for the job by a few news outlets. Done well with Hamilton, won the Championship play-offs with Norwich and doing a reasonable job at Preston.

Wouldn't be my #1 choice but would much rather him than the likes of a Moyes.

Aye. Moyes and Coyle and the like can take a running * to themselves. They knocked us back when their stock was reasonably high and now they are unemployable basically, they see us a viable option. No thanks.

I think it will be Lennon, he's the "safe" option.

Despite the current success, I feel that the next couple of years are vital. The squad does need strengthening (especially defence) and it is possible that the Tribute Act will continue to improve and become a threat. We can't assume that Trebles are going to continue, we need someone who knows and understands Celtic and Scottish football to take us to the next level (oh *, I sound like Rodgers) and leave the Tribute Act trailing in our dust.
