He did it first at the start of a game, though, if you remember. Maybe St Mirren away?

He had had a dreadful start in the league- and as he was heading to the dugout he was all pumped up and started doing his roar to get the crowd going. I remembering laughing and quite admiring him at the time because he was showing a bit of fight, but I thought it was weird that he Started doing it after every game.

A lovely man, though. Just never a suitable Celtic manager in a million years.

The reality is that we wont get that kind of manager because that sort would want the promise of big money to spend. We don't compete in anywhere near the EPL market. We will always punch above our weight in big competition. I believe that we are better off in some ways. We have grass roots managers that generally don't have an inflated view of themselves, who're prepared to knuckle down and do battle with far less resources at their disposal and who have the potential to become great managers because of this. If you get a big name they want big money to buy big players...we've all seen that buying a multi million pound team can backfire. Too many egos and individuals playing for themselves and the next huge money move. Lenny has huge potential if he's able to grasp the moment. We might never win the CL again but we can still make our presence felt and give our fans something to get excited about.

The Premier league is at its most I floated they can wring anymore money out of that TV deal seeing as sky sport negotiated a reduced deal whilst CL money still has the potential to rise we will never compete with epl top four or 8 most probably on transfer fees and wages but if we can always qualify for group stages of champions league we will always be strong..... Know some fans who said earlier in the season thinking about leaving season ticket as brendan won't be manager..... Was like why did you buy it to see celtic or brendan Rodgers..... If the fans continue to have a waiting list and sell out season tickets merch and CL money we will continue to turn over a hundred million a season see how we go from their

The difficulty with people talking about hiring someone of similar 'stature' to Rodgers is that the only reason he came here in the first place is because we supposedly were his team and Desmond managed to put in his own money to do so, with the whole Irish, Celtic, Tommy burns was my mentor etc connection.

Whether any if that actually meant anything to him now is up for debate, but what I mean is it will be very difficult to attract someone of stature who has no connection at all.

For one we won't provide the budget. The league isn't attractive enough to most managers. Desmond and Lawwell probably wouldn't sanction 50-65k a week for some * from Germany. As i mentioned there a big part of the reason we did for Rodgers is because of his Celtic 'connection'.

I noticed Wenger was mentioned..even if it was remotely possible I honestly think I would rather Lennon.

I honestly believe there is a lot of truth to that, Rodgers was only attainable because there was a somewhat tangible connection to celtic.

To get someone in that matches that calibre without it really would be an impossibility, unless we can get in to CL proper every single season, * on everyone domestically and sell players for £25mill+ every window we'd never sanction the real budget guys like that would want.

I love Lennon, the man is a * hero to me, but if for one reason only, I'd give him the job as I'm terrified of another Ronny.

Complete the treble treble and the jobs his - absolutely no doubt about that imo.

There’s always an attraction towards something new, which is understandable, as it brings a certain level of excitement and possibility. For me, Lennons achievements with Celtic were up there with the likes of Strachan and Rodgers (MON eclipses them for Seville).

He was a terrific managers for us and we still benefit from some of his signings today, both in the park and off it. If we can get the right back room staff around him we can build something that takes us to the 10 and beyond .

I'm actually looking at this as something new to be honest.

I'm genuinely excited at the prospect of a window under Lennon hopefully without Congerton.

As above, if we get everyone in around him, sort out the scouting and add to the squad, we probably have a better chance of doing something in Europe under him than Rodgers. Genuinely.

A club like us needs pragmatism to succeed on the continent and Lennon knows that. Rodgers didn't.

Quick maths on that, if we bought Van Dijk for £1.5m we can expect somebody 4 times the player in the summer, guarenteed:fear:
