Should be bit if cash I would think got nearly 7 million for Rodgers and his huge wage is no longer their toure and other guys are off the bill too along with their bonuses few players out of contract too so should be scope for a tiny rebuild at the back

We spent £9m on 1 player this summer. That's a good entire team of qaulity going by Lennon's old signings. Excluding derk....

Lennon has been shafted by Lawwell before. I expect there to be some demands set by Neil, so that the team doesn't cruble after a few years due to the board meddling. Will Lawwell stand for this? A hot summer awaits.

Which is why he will probably be allowed to buy some players. Him not being given much cash before was because we didn’t need to. Things have changed, I reckon(hope) he will be backed

I’d imagine if he doesn’t want him, he will be looking for a new manager now.

... and still negioting his wages well after weve * the cl qualifiers.

Lawell and the board (and desmond) went all out to get rodgers and give him a decent spend for his first season. They seem to think thats bought them some sort of grace period to * around. Hotels and disco lights should be the last of our concerns while we need a complete defensive rebuild.

I cant see them "splurging" on another manager for while yet.

Theyll be dining out on rodgers trechery, how he gave no notice etc. All the while theyll be searching for the most well known name at the cheapest price a la coyle/ moyes/ delia.

If we dont sign lennon in the summer we're *.

If Lennon seals the League and Scottish Cup then he has a bit of power over Lawwell with regards to being backed with funds to buy new players. I have no doubt in my mind Lennon will take/get the job if he achieves the treble and is promised funds.

I don't think PL or the board has any choice but to spend a pile of money in the summer when the new or long term managers is announced.

Nearly our whole defence will be gone and two strikers. 6 players.

Might get lucky and talk some of our loan deals into another season.....the two guys up front seem to be loving it here...yeah yeah i know so did BR.:nonono:

The descision for a new manager whether it is Lenny or not needs to be made sooner rather than later. We hardly finish the season and CL qualifiers are upon us ( assuming of course we win the league). The defence needs rebuilding for starters, Sinclair will prob follow the last manager down south, we have dead wood that needs moving as well. Who ever the new manager is needs his targets soonest because if we don't, playing qualifiers with Ajer, Hendry and Lustig at the back is not going to be good viewing !!

The league will do for me and it should be Lennys!!! This treble talk plays right into Lawwell's hands!!! The Cup is no gimme.....that * never won at Hibs, did he??.....tomorrow will be every bit as tough as Wednesday. If Lenny does pick up the treble Lawwell has very little room for manoeuvre imo!! Lawwell would face backlash like no other and he's had a few if he then didn't cough some half decent cash!!

Lawwel and co will try and play the card if getting someone like Rodgers in and look what he done to the club in need ect.

I really hope fans don’t * take the bait because he is the main route of problems of the club on the pitch not evolving and strengthening from a position of strength.

We need to get Parker back at the club regarding scouting and * off Rodgers pal right away, if I’m honest I can’t see us bringing in the right players right away this summer whoever is at the helm because the board will say we have tried to get the new managers targets in they needed time to settle ect and players will wait to see if we get into the champions league ect.

They have a trump card this summer in that respect but I hope fans don’t fall for it again, we should have a manager in place for when the season ends plus get the ball rolling with his targets.

We have a shed load of loan players going back adding to that the players who are out of contract as well plus the Rodgers money and the massive bank balance we have the board can’t * drop the ball.

He fuckes it again this summer I hope we ask for him to get tae *.

I think Lennon and Rodgers both left more due to us not being able to keep players rather than us not being able to get players.

The year before Lennon left we lost Forster, Wilson, Wanyama, Ledley, Samaras and Hooper - 6 good and first choice players in a year he probably also knew he'd only get 1 more season out of Van Dijk.

Same is probably the problem for Rodgers, Armstrong, Roberts and Dembele all away in one window, Boyata desperate to leave also and possibly Ntcham then Benkovic coming in and doing well and unlikely to stay.

Theres nothing we can do about players wanting to leave it's inevitable and managers probably just can't be arsed, they'd want to build teams and improve but when 2/3 of your best players are all wanting to leave at the same time every year or two then you'd be thinking whats the point.

Do you mean John Park or Lennon's assistant Garry Parker?

Bit weird how he's not there but JK is now the assistant...

See Brendan digging himself a deeper hole trying to shift some of the blame onto Peter for his exit. Doesn't wash with me

You have to hand it to him...

Fans think with their hearts and have already taken to Lennon and are now hoping he stays on past the summer...

Lawwell gets 6 million from Leicester effectively paying back Rodgers whole salary since he's been here. Gets a cut price manager in lennon who he was likely planning to sneak in all along for next season with Rodgers leaving....won't get fan backlash next year as Lennon is idolised and people will accept it..regardless if he is right or wrong man for next season....genius.
