You do realise that almost if not all of these points/requests you've made here are not down to the decision of one man. They are boardroom decisions made by a board of directors.

How could it not, we have 40m in the bank even if we spent all that wouldn’t even guarantee qualifying for the champions league.

He has the ultimate say in decisions.

Apparently there was a buy out clause so Celtic had no choice. But yeah his salary over 2 and a half years has probably been covered.

No, the board have the ultimate say, they represent the shareholders. Almost every single thing we do will be thoroughly discussed in the boardroom before a decision is made. Lawwell will have a certain level of freedom to operate but he is not the club owner and is not at the top of the food chain at the club.

He reports to the board on significant matters. He calls the shots for the majority of the decisions at the club.

One of those significant matters is the budget. While he will be a major part of writing it, it needs to be approved by a board. Also while he may call the shots for a majority of things a board can still call him out (I would assume there is a monthly board meeting) at any board meeting and ask him to explain a decision.

Spending large sums of money banking on champions league money to cover it, huns and leeds went down that route and look what happened, saying that had leeds won the champions league final it may have been different, the stability of the club is too much of a gamble.

Am sure there would be a way to get the £6m he can resign but would remain under contract most likely until 2021 there would have been a clause

The access all areas video where he is sitting with broony when Lenny walks in tells me how much influence broony has at the club also. Captain and leader.

That celebration last night was a players, directors, back room staff who all felt let down and was pure euphoria!

As people have said does it make Lawwell a good * again naw it doesn’t, does he have his failing yes he does.

But you can’t tell me he doesn’t care!

Everyone one of us last night let it all out the anger, the joy and sadness when that ball hit the net from Edouard

Was surprised to see Broony and PL sitting having a chat. Wouldn’t have them down as good pals.

There are clubs where being captain means * all but at Celtic it means far more and I get the feeling it has always been that way and always will. I even believe if Brown did not want Lenny he would have stopped it or could stop it in the summer if he wanted.
Yeah I agree about lawwell, he has failings and in no regard a Celtic hero but I don't think he is this * holding the club back as some have made out in the past.
