Fair play to him he looks ecstatic at that win. I think he's been feeling the pressure and maybe a lot of our criticism has been a tad unfair. It's easy to blame the money man but if we're all being honest it can be difficult to navigate such a big club which we know will never have the kind of money it deserves in today's market. He's shrewd business man but it's nice to know that he's still actually a supporter.

There’s no doubting he’s a Celtic fan, there’s no doubting he’s an unreal businessman but he does have some major shortcomings. He’s a micro manager.

 

He's also tried to turf out our most loyal supporters while profiting from their hard work and creativity at the same time. Not to mention colluding with the police to harrass and criminalise our fans.

He's made it clear on a number of occasions that he values profits, shares, and a lifeless plastic EPL-like match day experience over the history of the club and the happiness and wellbeing of the fans.

 

Part of the aforementioned major shortcomings mate.

Still skelping us for £3.3 million this year, no wonder the * is celebrating. Yes Brendan was at it but this * and Bankier need to go aswell, Aye Lennon will get them out this mess but how long before it’s back to short changing him as they did the last time he left.

 

But you have to take into account he is the ceo of a business. His job is to make annual profits, and the board will question him if profits drop and the team produces nothing more. Football clubs are now businesses even down at semi pro level. It is what the game has become. I can't blame him for that. I think Celtic took on the approach of business far later than many, well after England did. CEOs at all companies will take instructions from a board of directors. If they are unhappy then they would get shift.

What would getting rid of Lawell achieve, somebody exactly like him coming in and doing the same things

 

Get in an actual fan, who will prioritize the footballing side of the club. Lawwell should be getting the same treatment Brendan is getting now. He ruined Lennon's first tenure. I got banned because I wished Lawwell death. And I still think he's wasting oxygen.

 

Well if you still wish him death that proves the ban didn't work and that you are still a cretin.

 

How many fans are there that are both capable and wanting to take over Celtic.

That simply isn't what the job of a chief executive of a company is about and if your opinion is that it should be then take a look at the amount of silverware we've won since he took up the position in 2003.

 

For every time we have never kicked on from being in a position of power and shot ourself in the foot, there is always one common denominator, Peter lawell. He needs hounded out of the club.
