Lowlife scum mate, not even the decency to address the fans, someone tell me the hate for Mo Johnson was worse, cause I don't think I have felt so much hate towards a Celtic player or Manager before, * has no shame.

Reading some Leicester fan forums and they are actually rubbing their hands with glee that he f**ked is over to go to them.
Can’t wait until they are screaming for his head watching tappy tappy along the back 4 refusing to change anything football.

One of the things that’s * me off the most is not that he left but that he didn’t even address us, the fans through Celtic first. He did it through Leicester which confirmed that we already knew that he really didn’t give a f**k about us.

Actually can’t believe he’s left in the manner he has - his whole legacy has been ruined.

    Hate the rat now!

Aye. Hes a tight fisted * anaw. Millions in the bank, but obviously shat it with a wage bill at £50m and wanted his we safety net. Still even the hate he gets he wouldn't do a Rodgers snakey * move.

Seen in his quote that he said he maybe took us as far as could ‘at this moment’.

What’s that, a wee * hint that he wants to come back one day? Maybe after he needs some stability when he’s being constantly sacked from the PL?

He can honestly get so far to *. I would never ever take him back here. A message needs to be sent out that you can’t do that to us and expect good will.

He has 100% burned his bridges with Celtic Football club. I hope he never darkens our door again even as a paying supporter.

Underneath the fake tan,the fake teeth and the prepared soundbites is a fraud of a man. A guy that left his supposed boyhood club while on the cusp of history. He has shown his true colours in spectacular fashion. No big club will go near him with a barge pole now. A stain on our history.

Its probably already been mentioned but I'm pretty certain he is the only Celtic manager in history to walk out the door mid season to go and join another club.

As far a tarnishing your record goes this guy has just done it in absolute style and is now in the same category as Mo Johnston

I hope he never comes near this country again let alone the east end of Glasgow

Sadly he's among his peers with similar egos, any decent level of success with Leicester and he'll find himself a new job with a top 6 side easy.

He's suited to that nonsense, here's hoping he's sacked before start of next season

Time will tell..... hope it doesn't happen, but if our ship starts sinking and Rogers does well for Leicester, maybe would be good for both parties for Rodgers to come back in 3-4 years when we've forgotten the hurt and abandonment we feel right now, and get the club going again.

I like Lenny, who else could step in at a moments notice and take the reins, but he's not the long-term answer to take Celtic forward. Let's not burn any bridges here..... we may see Rodgers back at the helm in a few years. He's done a fantastic job for past 2.5 years winning 7 out of 7, we may need this talented young coach back to steady the ship.

Looks as if Lawwell had found out about his contact with Leicester and got McLaughlin to hound the rat about it. He certainly sounded flustered about it before the Celtic PR team stepped in.

Their expectation levels have been ramped up because of that fluke season, as shown by having 4 different managers within 3 years. Let's hope his success in the transfer market continues and he's out the door before the end of next season. If he bombs in this job then it'll be English Championship merry-go-round for the rest of his life.

He can never come back after leaving like this, never... The rodent vermin that he is, he will fail at Leicester I wish nothing but the worst for him with failure in everything he does from this point on.

I know we're all pretty * off with what's happened but i don't see what his personal life has to do with anything ?

Plenty of people leave their wife/husband after a number of years together, this is a footballing matter.

    What I’ve heard is this;

Rodgers thought he was off in the summer to Arsenal.
He didn’t bother signing or scouting any players as he was already, in his mind, gone. Hence the Dembele and Boyata farces.
Congerton was told not to bother with recommendations to the board and that’s why he turned up at Lennoxtown - him and BR had * it.
Lawwell and BR had several arguments and a falling out - DD had them in London to bang their heads together.
Rodgers lost trust of the board after his January window and had angered them in the summer with his comments.
Lawwell leaked to the press some of the situation and in retaliation Rodgers said he had been offered a job in China (no official approach was ever made to the club so possibly a lie).
Lawwell told DD that nothing had changed as regards to transfers and budgets and the agreed wage increases for playing staff had gone over budget - BR wanted signings in the region of £10-20million - which Lawwell refused.
Rodgers wanted to offer the £11million Aberdeen wanted for McKenna - PL stopped at £7million.
Rodgers publicly slagged the Arzani and Shved deals saying he didn’t need wingers - while actively trying to recruit them himself. He moaned because they weren’t his signings with the massive price tag he wanted to sign players for.
He wanted Burke on a permanent at £20million.

It's being reported that Leicester were prepared to wait until the end of the season before appointing Rodgers, but he wanted to leave right away.
