Hope he forgets his washing is in the machine & by the time he realises, the washing smells so bad that he has to put it through another cycle.

The thing that has made me lose more respect for him is that if he wasn't happy about the way the board worked, and was as big a fan as he claimed to be - then why not call them out for it?

Instead, he said all the right 'professional' things, no doubt just to keep his own reputation to other potential employers in good standing. Mercenary-like behaviour, it's a sour taste indeed.

Always gave off the impression that he was never as big a Celtic fan as he said he was. This just confirms it.

Clearly been in contact with Leicester for a while. Not a * chance this has been done in a day or two.

It’s highly unlikely Sarri will be at Chelsea next season, player power will see to that...with that in mind and with Rodgers previous links to Chelsea it would have been a fair chance he could of got that job and seen this season out here prior to that, even Paul Merson who not known for being that bright was suggesting the same thing earlier.

The point is as much as Leicester have cash etc he could have had a bigger job and into the bargain negotiated a dignified exit from the club he claims he’s always supported.

The more the day goes on the more head scratching today has really been....I’m assuming he will twist the knife by walking out onto the pitch tonight at the King Power Stadium before they play Brighton.

It was definitely strained, that much is obvious mate but why wait till now?

Why no leave us in January when the window was still open and we were on a break in Dubai?

It's clear as day with our signing policy from January that he knew he was away in the coming summer at the very latest. He's known he was gonna bounce whenever an epl job became available in my opinion and left us right in the * this week..

I genuinely think the timing of this will have thrown the board as much as us..

    I'm disgusted with him..

BERTIE AULD insists Brendan Rodgers will never get a bigger club than Celtic as he praised the work he's done at Parkhead.

The Hoops boss is on the verge of joining Leicester in a shock move after two-and-a-half years at Parkhead.

Rodgers has left some Celtic fans unimpressed with the timing of his decision.

And Celts legend Auld says he'll never receive a backing like he did from the Hoops faithful.

He said: "The thing is, these things happen in football. Brendan has done a marvellous job there and everyone appreciates what he's done.

"If he thinks that's a better move then it's his lifestyle and his livelihood.

"I think if you have a look at him, he's done extremely well and he's enjoyed it here and so have we. If he thinks it's time to move on then that's his decision.

"His name was linked with every club that had no manager because he has been a great manager, he's been a good manager.

"But I'll tell you one thing, it doesn't matter where he goes to, and I mean anywhere, he'll never get a club like Celtic or a support.

"He'll never get a bigger club than what he's at now.

"Financially it must be a good move for him.

"He had a group of players that really loved him, he had a training ground that's second to none but maybe it's a new challenge he's looking for

But he'll know all about it when he walks out to the terraces. Everyone gave him all the encouragement he needed. That support was outstanding with him.

"Doesn't matter where he goes anywhere in the world, he won't get a support like that."

Neil Lennon could be in the dugout for the visit to Tynecastle to face Hearts as he looks set to be appointed on an interim basis.

And Auld believes the former Celtic skipper knows what it means to manage at Parkhead.

He said: "I've not really had time to think about it but It'll be a hard act to follow.

Neil knows what it is. I don't know what he did and I don't want to know but what I know is, he was a good manager as well.

"He had a tremendous attitude with the supporters which is important because the Celic supporters are there because it's a family business.

"Neil's a Celtic supporter himself and I think he adored it. He knows what like it is for Celtic on the pitch and in the terraces.

"Neil was in the dugout and if he wasn't in the dugout he'd have been in the stands."
