Welcome home Neil Lennon. Great news after such devastating news to wake up to this morning. Will be interesting looking beyond the rest of this season though what happens with Lawell as he is the main reason Lennon left last time. Will Lennon have any say in who comes and goes transfer wise this time? If not its hard to see Lennon being here beyond the summer.

Hes actually the best short term choice. Give us time to try get Mancini etc. If he goes on a mad mazy undefeated run winning the treble treble, I'd be happy as * to keep Lennon anyway.

When you think about, it’s a bit ridiculous that a player can be cup tied when a manager can’t.

This doesn't sit well with me and exacerbates the hollow sadness left by BR's departure. I felt we had moved on to another level all round with Brendan in charge . This feels like a backwards step . Hopefully it is interim and we push the boat out again for a top class boss from the continent.

Really mixed emotions about this. My heart is all over it. He is my favourite ever player and his passion is incomparable. It will be brilliant seeing a manager in the dugout who 'gets it' again, something I don't think BR ever did. The fact his first game could be at Tynecastle, not to mention the fact he won't shirk that, just makes it all seem so right.

At the same time, my head is saying you should never go back in management, that interim managers are a bizarre risk all round and the jury is out on his career since he left Celtic. I do know that as he walks out at Tynecastle tomorrow night I will need the Kleenex at the ready, both ends, and bar resurrecting Big Jock, no other person could do that.

See as long as the board and Lenny are clear that this is only a stop gap til the summer, I can accept this as it makes sense given where we are at present.

However, if this guy lands the job on a permanent basis after the summer then I'll be well * off. Always the cheap option and reverting back to the old ways.

PL "Right Lenny, we need to reduce the wage bill..."

    NL "No probs Peter"

Lennon wouldn't be taking it without aspirations of it being long-term. It would be disrespectful to expect him to.

Also the complete opposite of your hypothetical conversation is what led him to leave first time round. He is not a yes man.

With Lenny in the past i blamed the board!!

With Brendan i blamed both with the board carrying the can for most of it!!!......after today i think it's an even split now!!

Your probably right Re the yes ma Comment - I'm still wound up the now. However, the "second time" around rarely works out, we're having to go back to Mcneil here.

Lennon is without doubt the lazy and cheap option. Also highlights the boards lack of ambition.
