Lenny would be fine in the interim, but can you imagine the pressure going for the 9, 10.. calmness would be needed.

And as much as I dislike strachan you can’t compare him not winning a treble against the rangers team of his time, to Rodgers doing it now. That’s not exactly a fair comparison of the two

Still dont think hes off yet. Talks does not equal signing.
    Derek McCinnis proved that.

Gutted by this news....not the fact he's leaving...I always expected him to go at some point. The timing of him leaving is what troubles me. How could a man professing a love of the club and being a life long fan go at this point in getting the treble treble? He knows what ten in a row would mean to the fans and that it would give him true legend status.....but he walks out on us for Leicester fkn City??....Gutted!

one bad result away to Barca?

Celtic stood up in Europe home and away under Lennon. This team is far too easily beaten in europe

I don't see any reason why we can't do ten without him if we make the right appointment and spend some money.

It’s gone too far now for him to be able to come back as normal. He’s gone

    Saying

Rodgers wanted to see season out and Leicester said nah this will be the only chance he will have to take over there.

Brendan then told board and they agreed to it!

Not the Boards biggest fan , but don't blame them at all , they have backed Brendan look at the wages we have plus Eddy was signed for apparently a record fee , they couldn't stop Dembele an I believe they would've loved 9m for Boyata

The main thing is Brendan could've said no he doesn't have to speak to Leicester or become their manager cause their happy to pay the buy out

The money is there but there's more to getting top quality players than just flashing £10m+ at a club. Wages are a huge stumbling block as is the fact that the SPFL is just not an attractive option for players in that price range. A lot of people immediately blame the board for not backing the manager but I've always questioned whether Rodgers was targeting players who just didn't fancy coming to us, their club weren't willing to let them go or their club wanted well over the reasonable price for them.

It’s our board we are taking about, look at the way they backed him.

I can’t see them appointing someone like him and we will end up with the cheap option once again.

He won’t go to Leicester. Not saying he won’t leave.. who knows!?? But when he does there will be a genuine list of top top clubs in for him
