Always thought he would be here for the 10 as he knows what it means being here

Imo see it being disrespectful "if" he leaves mid-season

Timing is terrible but we will win the treble again anyway. I really don't blame him for going IF he does. Board are never going to back him. A club of our size and with the financial results we keep posting should not be relying on bringing in Loan players to bolster the squad. They won't match Rodgers ambition of pushing on in Europe next year in the summer.

I won't question whether Rodgers is a Celtic fan just because he wants to go. I think I would go somewhere else if I had to deal with Lawwell during the summer or in January. Selling Dembele near the end of the window and not having a replacement was probably the last straw.

If Lennon comes back I'm sending my Season Ticket back.

His performances in Europe are an embarrassment. Annoyed at the lack of respect if he leaves now.

Leaving at the end of the season, would be no hard feelings and he’d leave with my utmost respect and thanks, albeit still totally gutted.

I’m finding it hard to call him names and * him etc but it certainly is very very hard to take.

Wonder what Boyata will be thinking, forced to stay with us against his wishes by Rodgers who now just up and leaves

After what Clarke said about sectarian abuse I doubt he touches a job in Glasgow with a barge pole

All this blame the board is a bit of a smokescreen.

He’s been by a country mile the best pod manager we have ever had or anyone up here has. He’s been allowed to sign some amount of pish and he’s presided over utter humiliation in Europe with routine tonkings.

He’s meant to be a super coach. He needed a new pitch so we spent a few Mil on it. He’s had pretty much everything he wanted. So the Dembele thing was a mess but that wasn’t the club actively wanting to sell. He never got a defender but he picked Commper and he thinks Debo is our best defender. He has been backed. Maybe not to EPL levels but that’s pie in the sky stuff. John McGinn doesn’t add anything to the team and he spat the dummy when the board rightfully put a cap on what they would spend on him.

Brendan’s whole raison d’etre was to come in and improve players and have them improve. He did it tbf but this lack of support as an excuse for leaving I don’t buy.

If his head was turned I’d rather he goes. We need commitment to get the league sewn up.

I’m not a fan of Lenny’s football but I guarantee we won’t be humiliated in the next hun game, even if we lose.

Much rather have a strong board capable of saying no to excessive spending than across the other side and another mountain of hidden debt tha will come crashing down eventually.

Oh and Brendan, it’s a minimum of £40M for KT and CalMac. Each. We need to get Timo signed up for another twelve months pronto as well.

Thats what the more credible outlets are saying, BBC, Indpendant, Telegraph etc.

Its the red top rags that are snsationalizing it and already proclaiming he has already gone. Similiar to how rthe press tried to unsettle McInnes at Dons last season.

That's what Im taking from it at the moment.

It’s who he takes with him come the summer

McGregor, Forrest and Tierney will all be on his radar!

Aye it is. The same business that'll get rid of him next season if he's not in the top 10 with Leceister which on the basis of his performances in Europe be far from easy.

Brendan Rodgers has more than enough money in the bank and is being paid very well by Celtic. As someone who has a degree in finance I'd much rather have what he has at Celtic than what he's going into at Leceister (green specs off)

Great work from Brendan, ticked every box domestically and in his 1st season was good in Europe. No Celtic fan wants to admit it but every job in the EPL is now a bigger job, and far more lucrative for players and gaffers. It’s a risk for him but he’ll probably see it as a Swansea not a Liverpool - opportunity to build with some youngsters, decent money but not huge pressure.

Hypothetical but I also think he’d be turning down any move away if he’d been backed even remotely in the past 18 odd months.

now the board need to go for a quality and experienced european manager. Just cos it didn’t work in the past we shouldn’t ignore forever.
