Whoever ends up at Leicester realistically can only take them as high as 6th / 7th place and europas, their fans stupidly expect more

 

Guy was here for one season on a rolling contract, then signed a 4 year deal that will come to a close at the same time as the Ten.
Brown's contract was up this summer and just signed a 2 year extension, also will come to an end with the Ten.

Anyone who thinks for one moment that Brown would have signed that deal if it wasn't to cement his name in history and be the captain who takes us to the ten, if he was unsure if we'd have a manager in place to actually do it is not very bright.

Equally why/what really has changed since Brendan has already signed up for the ten. Sure he has been peeved at the board, but he got in to a meeting with PL and DD and things got sorted. Whether or not that equates to big money this summer is up for debate, but that debacle last summer is behind us, and Rodgers.

The guys here for as long as the ten is on the table.


After that, I'd be surprised if he went back to a mid table EPL club, he's done that.
He'd be very * tempted by a Chelsea or an Arsenal, I would imagine.
But even more so, he will be extremely tempted to take his game to Spain. Spain is where his style would be best suited and could easily take over a Sevilla, Valencia, even At.Madrid and do well before eyeing up (if good enough) the big big job over there.

 

If he goes to Leicester then he is a *. He must be loaded already and his salary with us is hardly pennies. Here he has success, praise and fun with the club he supports. With Leicester he will struggle to keep them where they are as financially they don't have it for their league. Yeah they won the league but Man City, Man United, Liverpool and Chelsea all upped their spending since then to stop that happening.

Leicester is a disaster waiting to happen. Almost a guaranteed loss.

I agree with that. This is clearly IMHO the latest attempt by the MSM to try and unsettle us as we are in command now in the title race and it is time to pull out all the stops to help their team.

 

If he was to go i guess he will go because it will be a fresh challenge for him.
While he has success with us the truth is as a manager of his calibre it would not be that hard a job to win our league with the fiances we have compared to others.

Like most footballers, managers want to manage at the highest level and unfortunately for us our league is not the highest level.

 

Leicester City only provides the challenge of not getting the bullet. They sacked the manager who won the league within a year. If he was to leave Celtic it should be to a team that can fund going for trophies. I can only see him joining a top level team.

 

As a club i actually hate Leicester and the way they treat their managers.
I really hope we dont lose Rodgers to them of all clubs.

There is no way on earth Brendan will touch Leicester.

He’s managed Liverpool and Leicester are not worth considering (forget about their 15 minutes of fame a few seasons ago).

Their owner has just died tragically and they are only in the position they are in, mid table mediocrity, due to the premier league money bubble.
