    If you could name another Celtic stand, what would you call it?

    I think renaming Lennoxtown is more fitting for Tommy Burns.

    Not sure what I would name a stand at Celtic Park, maybe the "Jimmy Johnston Stand" or how about the "Three in a row stand" and increase the number with every championship win :icon_mrgreen:

    alot more people would recognize if a stand was named after him than the training ground (which fans dont get to see).

    You can't rush to name something after an ex-player just because he has died. Tommy Burns is a Celtic legend no doubt, but you open up arguments about who is more deserving.

    When Billy McNeill dies he is surely more of a legend than Tommy Burns? Apart from his playing career he also won us 4 league titles including the centenary one.

    Jimmy Johnstone is the greatest ever Celt, as voted by us. He encapsulates everything we value football wise and he does not have anything named after him.

    Fergus McCann saved the club from extinction. That is more than any player has done for Celtic and there is no tribute to him at Celtic park.

    My point is that there are many people that have given passionately to Celtic over the years and if we rush to name things after players that die then it means that other former players memories who have given just as must are insulted by not being remembered in the same way.

    I think perhaps an avenue of statues at Parkhead of Celtic greats would be a fitting tribute for them.
