In the sense that we’ve claimed 6 clean sheets in a row with him part of the backline, he has been more than adequate. Next year he won’t be but right now he is.

Saying that, I’m talking SPFL, not Valencia.

We’ve still looked exposed at times when he’s gone missing up the park, the 6 teams we’ve played have mostly sat in so he hasn’t had to do much defensive work..

I’ve got nothing against Izzy but it was lazy, unimaginative recruitment and if we don’t fancy him in games like Valencia because he can’t defend then he shouldn’t be a Celtic player..

He was too slack at times and looked scared to run with the ball, couple of good crosses but and won everything in the air that came near him. His legs are done but, I’d play Hayes left back till Kt is fit.

Izzy has done a good job coming in. Not good enough as a first option that much is clear but I'm happy to have him as back-up.

We should give Gutman a run with him out. * this craic of Johnny Hayes as a left full.

WE can’t have a team full of Tierney’s sadly.

I don’t get people downplaying his involvement ‘but they werent attacking us’ - we’ve conceded plenty off of teams that park the bus in the last 3 years. He’s been a big part of this run and he deserves the credit.

I wouldn’t fancy a load of our players against Valencia, it’s because they play at a higher level. I don’t think we should expect to have guys that matches them. Tierney’s one of the few.

WE.. should absolutely have a better option than Izzy.. 100%

Playing European games and making a step up in class is part of being a Celtic player, nobody is saying we need a player as good as KT but a LB who is young enough to get up and down the park and can defend and attack should be a prerequisite for us..

There’s talent out there, we should be saying I’m looking forward to seeing how xxxxx does against Valencia in KTs absence, not I’d rather give Johnny Hayes a chance as I wouldn’t play Izzy v Valencia as his legs are gone.. to me that’s unacceptable for a Club who should have higher aspirations.

I’d rather play Izzy, I’d just much rather have Tierney available for it.

He’s doing a good job mate. Facts speak for themselves.

The majority of Toljan’s career games have been at LB.

He’ll slot in there with Lustig back at RB.

I don’t really fancy Tierney against Valencia either mate, anytime we’ve stepped up we tend to get raped under Brendan. It’s not so much the players I don’t fancy, it’s the tactics. Tierney would have a better chance because 1) he’s a far better player and 2) he’s fitter, stronger and quicker.

I’m don’t fancy us against any good European side under Brendan. I’m more just hopeful we can pull off a performance that he does have in him every now and again.

    Fair enough mate..

Hopefully KT makes it.. if he’s touch and go though I wouldn’t risk him and would try a change of shape.

That’s basically my problem mate, he won’t change it to guard weaknesses. If he hasn’t done it for Lustig for years, he won’t do it for the opposite side.

99% of his passes? Would hardly think that would merit a place in the team and reckon Rodgers would know a fair bit more than you. While fans have relevant complaints you have him down as someone who killed a family member. Exaggerated bollocks. Ya rocket man. :giggle1:
