Can’t believe some nutters:57: on here think we can buy this guy...a longer loan deal is what we should be aiming for.

As has been said he signed a new contract and he’s already way outa our price range...let’s hope we get him on a longer loan.

Timo Weah is absolutely brilliant,” said Brendan Rodgers. “He’s loving every minute of his life here, but he’s here for a purpose and his purpose is to learn, get some games in his legs and make the impact that he has been making.

"He’s a great kid to work with, he’s always up for his training and the games, and whether he starts or comes off the bench, he’s ready to make that impact.

“His ability for the first goal – movement, touch, cross – and then his speed, with the other two boys, for the second. Callum McGregor heads the ball from the edge of the six-yard box, and then he’s up in the box making the pass, and Scotty breaks from the edge of the box as well. That really shows the desire to get up there and close the game out. It was a very, very good performance.”

I really like this guy. If the rumours are true about the possibility of an extended loan, I'd be very happy with that.

He's made a big impact in the short time he's been here, not only in terms of goals and assists as well. He is just so enthusiastic and likable, and you can see that he already seems quite popular among the players. Infectious wee guy.

Timo Weah netted Celtic's second goal against St Johnstone at Perth but escaped sanction for his part in the celebrations afterwards. The American striker, on-loan from PSG until the end of the season, jumped into the Celtic support when he scored, an action that had resulted in a booking for his team-mate James Forrest just minutes earlier for doing thee same thing.

“The referee told me that he would have given me a yellow card but the fans didn’t fall over and told me to be careful the next time," smiled Weah.

For me, the fans come all this way to support us and I feel the least I can do is go and celebrate the win with them. I noticed James had been booked for doing the same thing and I thought he was going to book me too but that’s life.

I bet James is wondering why I didn’t get booked. It’s weird, because I thought the ref was coming over to give me a card but he said the fans didn’t fall over so I got away with it.

“But I have to say that the goal and celebration would have been worth a booking, 100%." Weah's goal was his third in five games since his arrival at the beginning of the month and teenager has attributed his alacrity at settling to is new team-mates. The striker also insisted that his assist for Forrest meant more to him that his own goal.

"It's an incredible feeling to come into a hard game and score," he said.

"But the assist was more important for me.

"it's my first of the season and to get it at such an important time was amazing.

To see the joy on Jamesie's face was incredible and the celebration with the fans topped it off.

"I have settled in really well because of the team-mates I have around me.

    "There are no egos.

"I have gelled with the guys and the fans, and everyone has accepted me.

"The coaching staff tell me things I need to develop but it's amazing to have this kind of support.

"I don't know much about Celtic but I am getting there.

"It's just a great feeling to be accepted in this way by everyone.

I have embraced the club, the atmosphere and I have a lot of love for the guys.

"They are my brothers now and I am so happy to get the experience with such an amazing club.

"To be out there in every game with this group of players...I couldn't ask for any more."

Hopefully we can get him on a longer loan deal...can't see us being able to afford the price PSG will want....but,it's evident that he loves the club and will spread the word how good a club we are.

Hopefully we can extend his loan, means he has a chance to get CL experience or at very least qualifiers. Fingers crossed.

If we were serious about making it a perm then one of the other strikers would need to go first.. Psg I think would take ten million let's face it he isn't their to be in their first team they are buying players to sell on to make up for ffp..... Look at our revenue whe. We got Rodgers in surely this guy would add to it

Getting a bit of man love for him. Some players just 'get it' when they pull on the hoops and what it means.

Will be interesting to see how great gets on with another start on Wed, hopefully he can seize his opportunity..

He seems the perfect impact player, Burke running and pressing and then when legs are tired Weah comes on and adds speed and accuracy. Must be a nightmare..

Can’t wait to see him and Edouard tried together.

Another season loan is defo a possibility tho, especially if we qualify for the CL.
