They've completely fallen apart in the last few months, whether that's entirely down to Lennon is up for debate but I suppose the manager will always end up getting the blame.

Wouldn’t surprised me if he lost the dressing room. The way he talks about his players in the media is not great.

He is the exact opposite from Rodgers when it comes to public management of his players and dealing with the media in general.

Won’t be anything to do with losing the dressing room. The last public interview he gave he said they were at the bare bones and needed attackers. Also probably a centre half because of Efe leaving and Porteus long term injured.

The simple explanation would be these ‘showdown talks’ with Dempster resulted in him being told they weren’t spending money.

Don’t agree with this at all.
Lennon has higher standards than most at Hibs. Think that is the issue here.
Too good for that mob anyway.

Disgusting, he’s brought that club up from the championship to finishing 4th in the league last season and European football for the first time in years, then the first time things are starting to go a wee bit wrong they do this. The people running that club are fools.

Don’t know if he’d accept, but if I was Brendan just now I’d be thanking John Kennedy for his efforts and getting Lenny in.

:43: John Kennedy isn’t the assistant manager and why would Lenny want to come here as a coach when he can get a managers job elsewhere?

I know what John Kennedy’s job is and I also said I don’t know if he’d accept.

Hearing that he had a massive fallout with Gray their captain. Lenny and Hibs have been pish this season, aye they lost 2 of their best midfielders but he can never get them motivated for small games, the best games they’ve played was against us. I think he can turn it around but maybe too late now.

Think he needs to take a wee break from management. He's too good for Hibs and if they * are * him about he's as well telling them to sling their hook. They'll be relegated again before they know it.

He's a good pundit and he'll get plenty of work from that if he needs it. When the right job comes up he'll be ready.

I honestly think his best bet is waiting a couple of years till Leicester are languishing in the Championship then going back there to lead their return to the EPL.

I love Lenny, probably my favourite ever Celtic player and a lovely guy as well, but we need to lose the rose-tinted view of his managerial career, especially at Hibs. It is very much a mixed bag.
Sure, he got them up, but anything else would have been a massive failure. He built a good team last year and fourth was a good showing, but they flattered to deceive at times and played better against the decent teams and struggled a bit against the fodder. He also made a rod for his own back by saying that he expected more and he even contemplated resigning. This year has been incredibly poor. Luck or no luck, Hibs should be a lot higher in the table
People can talk about the board backing him, but he has the players and budget to be much higher than where they are. He has also made ill-advised comments about players that he has signed in the media and been fairly open in his criticism of the board. I appreciate his attitude in dealing with the media and demanding the best from the club he manages, I would probably be the same, but it isn't how modern football works. That probably says more about the game these days, if anything, but he has to adapt and it would appear he is failing to do so.

I'll put it this way, if BR was to leave in the summer, I wouldn't want him to be considered and, leaving aside the connection and emotion, I doubt many others would either.
I've been critical of BR this season and would rather listen to Lenny read the cricket scores than listen to Brendan talking about tactics, transfers and performances, but I can't imagine Brendan ever having a mutiny from the players. (I understand that this is unsubstantiated, but it is believable. Were someone to say it about about Brendan, at any club, I wouldn't)

Big Mick you're talking out your * there, Lennon is too good for Hibs?! And he can get a team promoted in the championship? Last time I checked Hibs were sitting 8th while having the 5th biggest budget in the league and left Bolton by 'mutual consent' after they were sitting bottom of the championship. I think Hibs is about his managerial level right now, if he was to get sacked tomorrow I'm not sure he could get a bigger gig than them.

The word on hibs boards is that he had to be pulled away from kamberi.

He then had some less that choice words for dempster afterwards.

Strange comment. If you're comparing anyone to the best Celtic manager ever then they're likely going to fall a long way short.

One thing I will say is that Jock didn't have to experience anywhere near the level of intolerance as Lennon has....all while trying to continue being a successful player, captain or manager.

He has a short temper sure but people are kidding themselves on if they think they'd be any different after putting up with the * he's had to put up with. Bombs, bullets, death threats, safe houses, assaults on the street, assaults on the touchline, 24/7 bodyguard, bodyguards for his children.

In any other country it would be a national scandal but not in this small-minded backwater.
