BR: “Ollie and Tim have both been very good. They’ve settle into our style well and really quickly. It’s a culture of developing and improving that we have here and they are two young players who have come in to do exactly that.

BR: "It’s great that they’ve come in and settled well but that’s also because of the profile of player they are. We want to keep that going and develop them over the rest of the season."

BR: "It was such a pleasing performance against St Mirren. It’s been two-and-a half years of creating an identity here in terms of how we play and that was apparent the other night. To see the likes of young Euan Henderson coming in and slotting into that was great.

BR: "Bayo has trained the last couple of days so it’s about getting him up to speed now."

BR: "Martin’s done a wonderful job with Hamilton. From afar, looking at the work he does and the conditions, he’s done a very good job. They always make it tough for us and we’ll expect the same tomorrow."

Our business once Marian is in is done!

Brendan Rodgers will not be Celtic Manager next season! Marvin and Bayo clearly board signings!

Just win the * league now!

Spent less than £2m in summer and less than £6m in winter that’s the lowest spend since Rodgers came to Celtic!

So in the summer we'll need two CBs, a RB, and probably another LB.

A whole defence practically, the thing that cost us CL football this season.

    Great.

We will have two competent defenders come summer.

Rodgers decides which positions need strengthening. Failure to add defenders will be on him.

Absolute farce if we don't sign a right back this month. We needed to strengthen the centre of defence as well but that's not happening either.

Forget quality, we need numbers at this point. Our defence will be decimated in the summer.

Still think we'll get a right back..

Apparently Sutton said we've been knocked back by 2 right backs this window..

Yes, I saw him do that. I reckon if they're knocking us back, either we're going for ambitious targets (which is a good sign) or we're not offering competitive wages, which...

    No way of knowing.

    Aye it's just guesswork..

    Maybe a mixture of both..

If it's the player knocking us back, then the club's are obviously willing to let them go...which points more to the latter but everyone on the planet knows we need a right back..

With or without Ralston but particularly now he's out, it would be an utter disgrace to come out of another window for the rest of the season and Valencia....with just Lustig..

The worst thing is is that EVERYONE knew that we needed a couple of defenders at least and EVERYONE knew that we wouldn’t sign anyone.

    It’s not even surprising.

If they are obtainable. If they are rejecting our advances out of hand, then we are shopping in the wrong market.

In any case, we should have less expensive, but still adequate, alternatives lined up.

Brendan Rodgers will be happy to go with his "fantastic" Celtic squad if there are no further additions in the January transfer window.

Rodgers has recruited two loan players, 21-year-old attacker Oliver Burke from West Brom and 18-year-old striker Timothy Weah from Paris St Germain.

Ivory Coast forward Bayo, 22, has also joined from Dunajska Streda on a four-year deal, although he will need time to get up to speed, while the deal to sign 21-year-old Ukraine international Maryan Shved from Karpaty Lviv is set to be finalised next week, although the winger will immediately leave on loan.

Rodgers is content with his options, which will be boosted further by the return of midfielder Tom Rogic - away on international duty with Australia - and injured Scotland defender Kieran Tierney.

"I am happy with the squad that we have," said Rodgers, whose side are a point clear of Kilmarnock at the top of the Ladbrokes Premiership with a game in hand.

"We are open to bringing in players of quality and I think that is what is key for us.

"We have known since the summer what we wanted to achieve but they are not always available and they are not always affordable.

"But whoever comes in or doesn't come in, we will work with the players we have here.

"We have a fantastic squad. If another player doesn't walk in the building we have a fantastic squad.

"Once they are back, Tom is back, Kieran comes back, then we have a fantastic squad of players here.

"Our aim is to continue to focus on ourselves, develop the players and if we can bring players into the areas we would like, absolutely great.

"If not, we will work with what we have got and the players will continue to improve, because it is a very young group."

Ahead of the visit of struggling Hamilton in the league on Saturday, the former Liverpool boss revealed that skipper Scott Brown, wanted by Australian side Western Melbourne, has met with chief executive Peter Lawwell.

Rodgers added: "Scott spoke to Peter, they had a meeting there but there is nothing to add to it. We will let you know in time."

Rodgers praised Accies boss Martin Canning, who has come under fire from his own fans in recent weeks as they continue their quest to stay in the division.

He said: "They always make the game very difficult. It has been a difficult period for Martin but I think he has done a brilliant job in his time there.

"He loses players, he is always up against it in the league, so for him to keep Hamilton in the league he has done a wonderful job."

In other words the board won’t deviate from their structure.

It's just kinda bog standard manager talk tbh, i wouldn't be overly worried, still think we will see another couple in the door before the window closes.
