    As a defender he would be a useful addition, he isna as bad as some make out. As a ball pass defender though .. nope.

    Overall I don't get how/why BR wants him, which worries me, and I would prefer to not pay 6 million for him.

    For me is a less experienced Boyata.. good in both boxes, physical, has a bit of nastiness about him.. but can’t pass.. he may however run through walls for you. £4m tops..

    That's not exactly a * compliment considering the dross we have at the back.

    Being the "best Scottish CB" or simply "better than Hendry and compper" isn't the standard we should be going for.

    He's still not good enough for us.
    Only way I'd take McKenna is if it's for no more than 3million and we sign two other defenders of a similar quality to that of benkovic (or even the hope we had of simunovic).

    McKenna, ajer, Hendry, compper as our centre backs next year.

    He will never, ever, be as good as Boyata.

    Which in itself tells you all you need to know about his potential signing.

    He’s young, an athlete, Scottish and likes a tackle. That’s the sum of his parts.

    You pretty much nailed it here. I think he would become a popular player for his commitment to the jersey if nothing else. I would be happier if/when we sign him if our style of play was more like under a Lenny or a Clarke :fear: type manager, if that makes sense. You are more generous than I would be, 3 million tops is what I would pay but then if you refuse to pay more people will accuse you of not backing the manager.

    He is much better than McKenna will ever be.

    He turns like a frigate, is rash as *, isn’t a footballer, his positional sense is atrocious and to top all of that Aberdeen value him at 10 times more than he’s worth.

    Jack Hendry, if anything, should serve as a warning to Celtic and Rodgers.

    Boyata might be better, but McKenna is more likely to apply himself than him. I don't want McKenna at all, but I would take him in a heartbeat over Boyata.
