I just had a search to see who was in charge of our signings because it's always been scouts before. Wasn't John Park here and quite good? Who found Victor? Managers are too busy to properly scout players so I'm not buying it Brendan is making those decisions.

What happened to Musonda? I can only mind him putting in that ball for Callum that he took on his chest, brilliant goal.

Something is broken between fans and club I feel, I mean we don't even know who's making the big decisions and why some of them have been so bad from folk whose business it is to be successful in football. Brendan has proven that without a doubt but Liverpool had a mental scouting committee his first season and he didn't get to choose many players as far as I know and it was like 23 players on permanent deals costing £293. That's them trying to be a selling club and it failed miserably. They ended up so badly managed at one points Ricky Lambert was their main striker. Plus Klopp had nothing to do with Salah or Robertson signings.

Why did Lawwell say this in 2017

KT's 6 year deal was outstanding for sure and hopefully in two years he'll sign another one but who else has been outstanding since 2017? Eddy's deal was great I think. Why the * would he use a superlative like outstanding? KT's 40 yard goal was outstanding. So what is Lee Congerton doing, scouting players then giving Brendan his recommended top 5 or top 10 then Brendan either watches footage of them or goes to a few games? I mean does anyone have a clear cut idea of the people making decisions?

This is one of those breaks I hate cause when we're not playing I start thinking about things there is no answer to and so it just becomes pure negative but nae wonder, we signed a Bundesliga player and I was like yeees! Cause I've watched it and it's a highly technical league. Now I'm reading he played 20 minutes in the season before we signed him? That cannot be right, who is signing a player with 20 mins game time then sent to the reserves and not getting a game then. What happened that one time he played for us, was he really that pish it was a horror show like some of Hendry's play? I can see why Brendan would like Hendry because he does like to make runs forward and he's good at that because it's a low risk game, if he loses the ball when he's entering the midfield area that's alright cause he's got back up, it's when defenders lose the ball in the back line which he does, that's when you're in trouble. Are we going to keep Dedryk or is he definitely for the off? He's a good solid defender when he's not having to play one twos with Craig.

Who loaned Callum out to Notts County? He better not still be here.

Morgan, Hayes going to Portsmouth - Hendry going Sunderland.

 

Good moves, especially for Hayes, felt really bad for him because I was wondering why we bought him when he wasn't going to get much football at all and he would've been missing playing every week. I don't know why I can't remember who Morgan is but it's a decent level and it's the Mediterranean down there according the weather forecasts all the time. Good move for Hendry too, think maybe he needs a wee bit toughening up and if he matures in a strong player he could be good, got decent skills.

 

Anyone else think that we won't sign a CB this window? I've lost all hope in that to be honest.

 

If Hendry and Compper both go along with boyata we will need to!

We have needed to for several years and that hasn't resulted in anything substantial. But yeah we will be minus Benkovic and Boyata by the end of the season which leaves us in a comically bad situation in defense if no one is signed.

Surely we'll have to replace Izzy first cause with Hayes away who are we going to put there if KT is out, no way is Callum going back there. Lustig needs to become back up or get back up too. I think he really should be thinking about being the back up player now. I wouldn't be surpirsed if Brendan tries Burke there if he's such a right sided player. Could do with that kind of pace in defence.

Do we need a CB if Boyata stays?

 

Think Brendan might get 10m , Weah(loan),Bayo at 2.2m and Burke(loan) would leave us a little room to bring in a CB,RB or possibly even a Midfielder but were quite strong in there everybody fit .And conceded the least amount of goals with Boyata and Benkovic but Boyata is hot and cold and could be away anyway.

 

We need to move players on.


Do people actually understand that.

Just about to post this. We are in the process of moving players on (Hayes, Morgan, Hendry, Allan, Commper all likely ). Brendan hates a bloated squad. Move a few more out, bring some in. Lustig, Brown, Boyata could very well all be here until the summer. Their wages are freed up then and we can bring in extra quality.

 

Brendan can hate all he likes but he's half the reason with his * signing record.

 

Players won’t come in for the sake of it.
