In the Sevco match tread someone posted it was almost as if Brendon put out a team to lose. Whilst I wouldn't go that far I don't think he's bothered about the result in the slightest. He knew, as we all did that had we won the League is over. With their 3 difficult away games coming up next versus our 3 easy (I hope) home games we could be 15 points clear by mid -feb. That may not suit some people , & as for the unbeaten run against Sevco I'm sure he would rather concentrate on going as far as possible in Europa League.

I am sure he doesn't think he can lose the League to them, given their limited resources, and for what it's worth I don't either.

The amusing thing is over in Hunland they will be going bananas & scraping together all the money they can get to throw at Gerardiola.

He thought he woulda played a blinder when he left Eddy on the bench and started MJ. * it tho!

Eddy coulda easily started yesterday. If you can play half a hour a few days before and you wernt out for that long then he coulda easily started and should’ve.

There is a fine line between success and failure in football. Yesterday Broony very nearly blocked the winning goal, Calmac was only just offside. Even at our very worse and their best it was a marginal result.

However, regrettably deep down lots of us knew this was going to be the likely outcome.

Rodgers as a manager has his strengths, and the development of Calmac, Tierney, Armstrong, Forrest, Rogic and Dembele amongst others highlight this perfectly.

I also have really high hopes that Johnston, Ajer and Morgan also kick on and fully establish themselves

    But.....
His Achilles heel is recruitment, and has been for some time.
De Vries, Compper, Kouassi and Gamboa with us have all been poor signings.
With the jury still to decide on whether Ntcham and Sinclair have been successes and good value for money, his only real triumph is Demeble and even that is contentious to Rodgers actual involvement.

At Liverpool he signed Joe Allen, Ricky Lambert and Mario Bellatelli all for big money after selling Suarez, so even with significant funds there is no guarantee of success with big transfer fees.

Throw Congerton into the mix, and a significantly reduced budget and I fear this forthcoming window won't fix all our problems in one sweep.

Rodgers' failure to stand up for his players as they were being kicked off the park was the most disgraceful aspect of yesterday for me. It's part of a pattern too. He seems utterly terrified of showing any emotion. Does he think the refs will respect him for not speaking out? If he does he's a fool. These are huns and they will exploit his silence to the full. They probably can't believe what a pushover he is compared to Lennon. Ffs even Levein calls them out more regularly!
Rodgers let his players down yesterday. Was there even one occasion where he stood on the sideline and protested a decision or demanded action when one of our players was fouled? It was either disinterest or cowardice, what else? Is it any wonder our players aren't pulling together and getting in the opposition's face after a foul when the manager just sits there like a complete wimp? There is no aggression in Rodgers. No fight. As a result we have a team that got bullied and humiliated by a talentless shower of hammer throwers yesterday.

There's no excuse for his passivity either. He knows how huns operate. Mowbray and Ronny didn't 'get it' - but as a northern Irish Catholic Brendan can be under no illusion as to what he's up against. Yet he just sat there and said nothing yesterday. It was pathetic and cowardly.
It's time Rodgers showed he can do nasty. Personally, I think he is a wimp and it's affecting the players. And because he failed to protect his team yesterday they will not relish returning to Mordor. A proper Celtic manager would have had that team foaming at the mouth even before they left the dressing room. Grow a set, Brendan.

His remit seems to be praising the ref's even when they've properly done us. He'll be like "Kevin had a really good game tonight" despite chalking us off a perfectly good goal, no sending a Motherwell player off for a late tackle from behind or fouling our player for a late equaliser..

Bizzare and has done that throughout his whole reign at us..

It's pathetic and cowardly. Sick to death of his statesman act. They're laughing at you, Brendan, ffs. I can't have him. No steel. No guts.

What * me off was his clapping in the direction of their fans.

He seemed to be beaten before a ball was kicked yesterday.

None of us know what he’s like behind the dressing room door but I think he’s no different to what we see in his interviews.

They got Gerrard in for a reason ...
Rogers is maybe unsettled by this.

They got Gerrard in because no experienced manager would touch them, and because he’s a famous name that would help them flog season tickets.

Rodgers won’t be unsettled by Gerrard at all.

Seen him work in the Liverpool documentary he tore sterling a new one and his team talks were personal and motivating he definently is cool on the outside.. Because he has to be professional in front of camera something other managers in the league lack

Has to see how his philosophy of possession based football, can’t be sustained with Gordon at its base.. just has to..

Broonie and Lustig too, shouldn’t be first picks even when fully fit.. time to make those strong decisions..

What bugged me about that game at Ibrox was that it was so uncharacteristic of a Rodgers team in a big occasion. The thing that's so admirable about the Rodgers Era is that in every big game domestically he had the players 100% in the right mentality for the game.

That’s because he couldn’t care less if we won that Hun game or not, which transferred to the team on the pitch. Now he’s signing players left right and centre. He’s a genius.
