Some of us are not blond optimists like you, yesterday was atrocious.

 

On the tactical/team selection standpoint, I believe without either one of Rogic or Calmac in midfield, we are disjointed and bereft of game control and forward impetus. I’d really like to see our result/performance stats with these guys in/out of the team.

I have a hunch that when both were playing, our performances; measured by goals/shots on/possession/pass accuracy, would eclipse any game without one or both in the team.

Think we all know the Brown/Cham combo doesn’t work well and team pressing is virtually non existent when they play.

Another thing we lose with them two is good ball retention and passing options when the back 4 have the ball. Playing through the middle was impossible yesterday.

 

Such a naive post deila and John Park watched him before Rodgers came in that transfer was sanctioned before Rodgers was in the door work was done in the background

I get the feeling Rodgers has came in and basically shat on the network tossed it to the side to save money believing the guy he brought in and himself were better options for recruitment

I get his thinking.... That players will improve and get better at it over time.. Which is normally how it works but the player needs to want it to happen as well too many times Ave seen Gordon * up a pass camera zooms to his face and he is smirking he doesn't give a flying *

*One of the early games playing chrisitie, followed by the best team in that group. Allowances can be made. However every dropped point this season bar those two games has been because we have played two defensive midfielders. no box to box, no midfield dominance and no control in the middle. We play aback 6 with a forward 4. Our formation may as well be 6-0-4 for all the use of having two defensive midfielders is to us, specially against teams who park the bus, or in recent times actually press us.

Dembele was a brendan signing he knew about him before he signed with us hence him being first player in

 

He's also at the end of his career- what is he going to learn? Brendan should either try Bain in goals more, or demand money for a keeper that can both save shots and distribute well. Or, spare Gordon the exercise in futility and temporarily drop the idea of the back line playing the ball.

He often fails to get a reaction from players at half time. Too many times we go in at half time playing pish and they don't look any more inspired when they come back out. Not even talking about tactics here just the fact they don't look up for it. Hibs,salzburg and yesterday just in the last month alone.

 

Ronny claims otherwise. Unless you have a quote from Brendan specifically contradicting him, I don't see any reason not to believe Ronny.

 

I dont have it directly but i just remember seeing something about moussa saying that brendan had been present a few times in his games and Brendan saying something hes one tht he has kept tabs on im just saying lets not pretend tht Ronnie signing were good and we were a good team under him if that were the case he would still be here remember lads this is the manager we want at the helm his pros outweigh his cons

The players he’s bought in so far have been abysmal.

He's still a great manager but He has made mistakes this year that have cost us points. We were poor yesterday, but a fit Tierney might have made all the difference. The break has come at a good time.

If the huns have done so well in the europa as they claim and improved, finally beat us so there's a challenge.

Think it's a similar debate/situation to that of boruc.
