It certainly didn't hurt, but Deila was the man that identified him and wanted him in the window before BR came in.

At fault for insisting that Boyata and Gordon act as ball players, when he, and everyone else sees that they can't do this. Stubborn *. It's not like hoofball will lead to a lightning smiting the offender.

We dont usually agree, but I said same right after the game and got abused for calling out a double treble winning manager, amazes me how much people are willing to overlook for the sake of nostalgia.

This was the least of the issues yesterday, the poor play at the back was a direct result of our * midfield as out best CM was sitting at left back.

I get your frustration but he needed to sub benkovic and stig. 2/3 subs used probably hurt his original game plan let alone any plan b

This. When broony gets the ball he's either further back than boyata or passes it back to him. Never advances. McGregor turns and advances it and starts an attack. Then because broonys so far back were left a man down in midfield so * the defenders with who to pass too. Mental.

Aye but they won't. Boyata just hoofs it straight out or to there keeper.

When he does go long, it usually allows our players to chase, and at least put some stress on the opposing defenders. Benković and Ajer can be even more accurate with a long pass. Booting the ball upfield is both a great offensive and defensive tool.

To who? Mikey? and expect him to hold it up is unreasonable? You see the pattern of failure! Terrible lineup to put out.

There are various types of long balls. In this case, a fast, low-height ball would have been best. Of course a slow, lofted ball wouldn't do good. But nobody even tried to feed Mikey with a through ball more than once, I think.

McGregor at LB definitely didn't work, in hindsight. I really would like to know why Tierney couldn't play. What kind of injury he has.

That's what I think too, listen, I do t believe Broony is done, maybe needs to be played in stages, but he does play too far back, and with Ntcham who falls too far back too, we are basically left with two players in the centre who are only passable players ie AM and CF.

Maybe in a proper 3 CH defence and means an extra midfielder or striker, but not in this formation, its too labourous. People slag the fbs for passing sideways, no wonder as we have 5 to 6 players level with him.

Tbh, what's long with a long ball, Goldson seemed to be able to knock it long as did their fbs, and they had a player on the end of everyone.

They were launching long and feeding off the scraps, we sat so deep they picked up all the second balls after going long.

    That’s because you’re always talking * & negative. Have a * day off.

Macguire is just a miserable * sometimes but he gets over it & has positive & insightful things to say as well. He can also be funny.

A month ago we won our 7th trophy in a row under Brendan, when does that become nostalgia?
We are top of the league currently, how does that equate to nostalgia?
We are still in the Fa cup, so therefore, still on for an absolutely unprecedented treble, treble nostalgic yet?

With a proper referee he doesn't last 5 minutes on the pitch.

It was a bit gutless all-round yesterday, to be honest.

We didn't press Rangers with the aggression of intensity we normally would. That is a tactical decision that comes from the manager. Our first touch was poor and our passing was arguably worse - even when under no pressure. That's down to the players.

Hard to take m8. Especially that it’ll give that mob belief, albeit a false one.

We weren’t at the races and the majority of the blame sits with Brendan and that team selection.

I seen the laughing and smiling and not making excuses for the man but I do think it was purely bewilderment at the ref decisions and embarrassment at some of our play.

Everything that could have went wrong, did! and it started before the first ball was kicked.

Hopefully lessons are learned, January is productive, players get refreshed and we get back to hunskelping ways!

    Chin up and Hail Hail
