Extra brownie point for saying in the interview "today was a good game between the top 2 teams in the country for the last 6 years"

Sadly, I have to agree with you there. A year too far for Izzy I think. :54:

Just watched the highlights back and that sliding tackle in the box at 1-1 with about 15 mins to go turned out to be massive.

    Well done Jonny Bhoy.

Nothing against the lad just don't think he adds much to the team.. he is an honest player, willing grafter but i think he is very limited in any performances i have seen from him.

Would not bother me in the slightest if he moved on but if BR thinks there is a quality player in there then give him a run of games... i would give him until the end of the season to show what he can do but i think what you see is about all you are ever going to get from him

I watched the second half again and one of the things I was mainly watching was Hayes. He actually had a really good 45 minutes!

Everybody knows with Hayes that you get a lot of hard work and a bit of pace, but in addition to that and the excellent tackle @Keano88 mentions above, he surprised me with his positional discipline at LB and his use of the ball: his retention was excellent and he kept the ball moving really well, didn't slow our play down.

It's also worth mentioning his part in the final goal. Yes, the magic was Edouard's and the finish was Sinclair's and they deserve all the plaudits; but it's Hayes clever run that pulls the cover a bit out of position and makes it possible for Edouard to face them both up and do what he does so well.

    Edit: er, LB.

McGreggor could always do it but not consistently enough.. He has stepped up
Shooders used to frustrate the * oot of me with his windmill impression claiming fouls or sitting on his * after being tackled - Stepped up
Ryan Christie i wasn't sure about as he didn't get enough game time - Massive Step up and a big surprise if i'm honest
Looks like Ralston & MJ want to take the next step

But though Hayes has had his injuries i am not sure -- a few times yesterday he received the ball in space.. play was slow and he stood there then passed it back the 5 yards it had just come! Maybe he aint good from a standing start? but this didn't tell me he was a player looking to stamp his mark on the game. My guess is he will only ever be a squad player in a position we got well covered.

Brendan surprised me with the likes of Marvin etc so not always getting it right

You know I seen a real spark in 3 players yesterday who seemed to seriously up their game. Eddy, Sinky and Lustig all seemed to step up a bit and I'm wondering if the performances of Christie, Ralston and Mikey have put the wind up them all. These boys are showing real promise and are delivering. Sinky seems to have been reborn again, Lustig looked good for Lustig and Eddy showed a bit of fight in getting his goal. Maybe shows what a wee bit competition can do.

Played well, I would start him over Emilio against the huns, got a feeling he will get stuck right in.

If he plays he will give it 100% and he will not be scared to put in a tackle either

For those who are in love.....
Near the end he salmon leaped some mental jump and won a header against the big 6 foot 2 lurch Cosgrove..

    He definitely got stuck in..

Don't think he has any quality to be a winger here but showed he has the tenacity to fill in at left back if need be, better than our stand in left back does..
