Nice colour scheme yu have going there. The misses made me rip my house apart this year to do the same thing in my kitchen, utility room, living room and hall, big tiles etc.. Hated the idea when she first mentioned it but it has fairly brighten up the place. Nice looking tree however the poor thing looks lonely in there. Plus get the tolls out and raise that ceiling so ya can fit a star or an angel on it.

    Yep, im a * haha

You're always keeping yourself busy with your house and work, don't be over doing it, will look great no doubt when all finished.

One has to Marie, when im not busy my head goes into dark places. I agree with not over doing it, everyones telling me to slow down but the jobs keep coming in thick and fast and the money keeps getting better. Its difficult to turn down after going through a * of a recession here in the west of Ireland. When i get something into my head, im very motivated and driven to succeed. I hate losing and its stead me well these last 2 decades.

Things are heating up again in this country and theres talks of another slow down. Ill be able to get some rest time then if it happens haha, however 2019 is looking to be even better again for me, so will just take it as it comes. I try to look after my health better than some so i think ill be ok for another few years yet.

As for my own gaf, built this in the boom times but this * the misses has made me change most of it all again inside, and now wanting to me to change my 2 ensuites, she can go f**k haha. Wont be touching anything in it again. Will sell it quicker and build again before i change anything again in it.

Yeah, you need to do the work while it's there, never know what is around the corner and it will let you get some money behind you if it does slow down, no point in knocking your pan in and not being able to enjoy it.

My cousin's man was like you, worked himself to the bone, almost rebuilt their cottage on Arranmore Island, poor * just finished it and dropped dead of massive heart attack, 42 he was, * rest him.

It was you that built the boat? It looked beautiful!

Keep getting told stories about mens hearts going, scary! My own granny keeps reminding me everytime she sees me, should start listening to her and others TBH.

Yeah that was me with the boat. Have built a few but the one youve seen is the one im most proud off. No time to build them now but going to build a lovely speed boat, but need to build a bigger garage for it. Its what i have in mind for when i retire at 50. 11&half more years and im finished with this game haha.

Heres what i have in mind and below that is what i built few years ago.

Honestly, you should try slow down, easier said than done, granted and I know it's just in your make up and that you'd be lost if you werent working hard.

    Good luck building your speedboat.:50:

That wee boat you built is beautiful, the work you put into it and the finish looks amazing....tell you one thing, you've great with your hands!
