That's 3 times now this season we've * about away from home. Hearts, Motherwell and Hibs, 3 games we usually drop points in and these are the games we decide to change? I'm willing to let the player selection for this one off since we were missing a lot, but playing a back 3, yet agains putting brown and ntcham in midfield and persisting with sinclair is baffling.

We got 9 points that normally sees most teams through and it was a tough group.

I wrote us off from the get go cause I thought we would get through. I agree we did knacker ourselfs with the game but Rodgers got the team selection and tactics completely wrong today he has no excuses.

I also agree with the taking us as far as he can because he will not be backed by the board and can see him going come the end of the season but like I’ve said in the previous post he wouldn’t be sacked.

Neil Lennon seems to have Brendan's number. Hibs always seem to raise their game dramatically when we're in town.

We did play pretty poorly today, as much as Hibs played well we still looked a bit half-arsed or hungover. Really hope Christie is back soon. Missed him and Rogic today.

Nah, that was said about Clarke too.. nobody has BRs number in Scotland.. truth is BR is his own worst enemy and tries random tactics at the wrong times and in the wrong places.

There’s trying new tactics then there’s that abomination he fielded today. What the * even was it? :giggle1:

Worst formation he’s put out in his time here imo.

He over thinks his opposition at times. Especially teams that have gotten the better of us previously. Needs to just focus on getting the best out of us.

Aye 100% a tactical *, that offered no press, wide open on the wings, Izzy on corners :giggle1:, nothing in attack and then the criminal aspect not changing it until we were two down and the game was all but done.

If this isn't in the managers personality then I think he needs people around him that can. Not a criticism of Davies as I don't know enough about him to comment. However plenty of managers that don't like balling at players themselves have made sure they have those around them that can do this to pretty good effect.

Excuse about squad depth are utter bullshit today. Izzy played in the Kilmarnock game nobody complained about him that day. Brown was first pick by most folk a few weeks ago. We paid £4.5m for Ntcham. The only weakness, if you could call him that, was Ajer, who we all thought was decent when he had a run of games at the back.

So, our captain, a highly experienced left back that BR signed, a French u21 that BR signed for a fair amount of money, and a guy who although is only 20 years old, has been capped by Norway and played over 30 games for us in the past.

Hardly scraping the bottom of the barrel...

The fault lies with the tactics.

We glaringly lack depth up front and in the wide areas though.

I’m not sure he gives a 2nd thought to the opposition tbh, otherwise you wouldn’t see him change and get it so wrong, away to Hearts, Killie, Motherwell and Hibs all difficult places to go without your best 11.. BR is arrogant and I wouldn’t change him but he thinks whatever he does in formation and selection will be good enough.

That’s the arrogance that makes him a great manager but is also his downfall at times.

I know, but when those players don’t have serious competition it’s naturally going to take away from their performances.

Feels like any time we rotate and freshen up we are going to suffer majorly for it as a result. We don’t have options that can change a game the way we did when we had dembele and Griff, Roberts and Armstrong even..

The players would of only had 2 days to prepare for the game so I have no idea why he’d then completely change the formation and have 4 players playing out of their best positions. Even worse that it took him so long to rectify that mistake and by then it was too late.

Izzy linked up great with Sinclair against Killie so he decides to make Izzy left wing back and Sinclaie right wing back :39: baffling.
