Hwang Ui-jo from Gamba Osaka. Most of you are probably thinking *, who’s he? Was the best player(including Rogic) on the park in the Australia v South Korea match until he was taken off as a precaution for a hammy. Has been carving up the J-League with 20 goals in 30 matches and looks ready for the next level. Off contract in the summer so will cost nothing. He’s a big lad and bullied the Australian defence, so he’s not your typical lightweight Asian player.

Celtic scouts need to be monitoring this lad, a bargain in the waiting. I’m not sure of his command of the English language, but a bit of prep and he could have that squared away by next year.

I’m sure he did, however, it helps players to settle, feel included and not be isolated.

 

We should have a look at Rosenborg keeper André Hansen. He's had a very good season and one of the main reasons why Rosenborg won the league again this year, saved their * plenty of times. The perfect replacement for Gordon IMO. He's also one of three nominated for POTY in Eliteserien this season. Out of contract 31.12.18.

 

He is at the bench in a swedish team. Didn't make an impact in Netherlands either. I also had very high hopes for him but sadly it didn't work out.

Know * all about this guy as a player but he’s 21, scored 10 goals in 7 games in Macedonia, just over 6 foot tall.

It’s a part of the world that’s produced some cracking players, cheap market, sorta * we should be looking at before they move on and we get out priced. Any young player in a league that isn’t as well publicised as ours we should be all over.

Now they are out of favour any view of loan option or pre contract wages are the obvious issue

Unaware of Origis contract some say 19 or 20 know clyne and McCarthy is 2020

Fell for the amount of articles I’ve read re these 3. Honestly want to know what the general view is

 

Origi is out of favour but he’s a talented, quite frustrating player, he’s lightning quick, tall, strong, occasionally genius, mostly frustrating. I’d take him in a heartbeat but he’s out of our range I think.

Clyne I really like, hard as nails, good positionally, not the fastest or the slowest, enough pace to get by really but he has some engine on him. Don’t know if injuries have taken their toll on him. Another guy we won’t get, mostly because he’s English and the squad quotas down there.

Both do have a previous relationship with Brendan though. There’s also the fact it’s a bit of an open secret Liverpool are grooming Gerrard to be manager one day, if we’re talking loans, would they be willing to deal with us in that situation?

 

Apparently we had a scout at the accrington v barnsley game , hopefully not scouting liam lindsay to replace boyata

 

Sad fact is we probably can’t afford him now, they wanted £6m last year.
